The title of this post is a documentary that is airing on Hulu. It’s about the downfall of Jerry Fallwell, Jr. and it all starts with a pool boy named Giancarlo Granda. Giancarlo is highly attractive and he happened to be in the right or wrong place, depending upon your viewpoint. I’d love to see him shirtless but can’t seem to find an image. The documentary is about 2 hours and it’s quite compelling. I started watching it, my sleeping meds kicked in and I blanked out for the last half hour but I went back and rewound and watched what I missed. I understand Giancarlo’s position that he wishes he would have never got caught up in this as it seems like quite the nightmare. However, todays news is soon forgotten and except for this documentary I think most people would have forgotten about him by now. I vaguely remember the scandal. In a Newsweek article that I just found it seems that Giancarlo is doing pretty well now that the dust has settled.
That documentary was the highlight of my evening. Gator went to bed early again and I don’t like to leave her by herself unless I have to so I followed her to my room and when she woke up I let her nap in my lap. She can sure snore and make some funny noises when she is sleeping. I am still concerned about her that she isn’t feeling quite up to par. I woke up in the middle of the night and checked on her, found her sleeping on the couch. I went to watch TV and then heard her coughing. I got up and kept my distance she worked it all out and settled back down. She is still drinking and eating, although her appetite overnight seems to have calmed down a bit. She only woke me up 1 time last night or should I say early this morning. I checked both litter boxes this morning and she has deposits in both, which is unusual she normally sticks to one box. The only thing that changed is this urinary tract formula food that I purchased. Kind of regret making that purchase now and I am trying to keep her off of that to see if things clear up. She had some Duck this morning and man she was all over it. She loves her quackers as I refer to it.
Yesterday I saw her on camera and she forgot that I was gone. When I came home I found her at the top of the steps and she was surprised to see me walk through the front door versus coming up from downstairs. However, she knew that food and attention were in her future and she was so right! We got in some couch time for a few hours but by 7p she headed for bed, which is highly unusual. She got up for a drink, used the litter box and then went to bed instead of coming back to the couch. Hey I was tired too and I much prefer my bedroom recliner to the love seat that she likes to sit on. The support in the chair is far superior but all of our furniture is old and should be replaced.
I called to try to get our carry out reservations made and the restaurant still isn’t taking carry out reservations despite the fact that were in November and only mere weeks away. I checked my notes from last year and it was the 4th when I made them last year, that just so happens to be this Friday. I will try to call back then to see if we can’t get this task off of my list. I want to breathe a sigh of relief and be done with this. Not exactly sure why this is such a problem this year. I wish that I could take care of it on-line versus by phone because their phones are horrible and fully of static.
My commute home yesterday was a bit heavier with more traffic but once I got away from the office area and on the main freeway things started to flow nicely. I looked down at the speedometer and I was doing 87 and didn’t even realize it. It was like a hot knife through butter and I was home in short order, taking about 30 minutes total. My phone of course was chirping the whole way home and I always cringe wondering what I will be looking at when I finally can peek. By law I can’t touch my phone while driving, even if I am stopped at a stop light. Now lots of people do it just like speeding. I however have tried goofing with the phone and driving long before there was a law on the books for it. It was quickly apparent to me that I could do one or the other but not both. After a couple of close calls I resigned myself to not touch my phone and concentrate on the drive. I can talk on the phone handsfree and drive but I honestly don’t even like that. I much prefer to just drive, listen to music and if applicable watch GPS for traffic issues.
I had an issue on my home PC with a program from HP that provides driver updates. I got it all worked out and things were back to normal. This morning the program for some reason thought I wanted to remove it and despite me trying to cancel it did in fact uninstall. I fought to try to get it back on my system but it’s a battle that I wasn’t able to win thus far. For now I have it fully removed and when I have more time I will consider trying to get it installed back. I know that Windows Update delivers 3rd party updates and I can always browse to the HP website but I would just as soon have the program back on my system for peace of mind. Life gets complicated quickly and I tend to forget minor things. Right now between Gator and Work my brain is full. In fact there is some after hours work tonight and I can’t wait to get that off my plate so I can enjoy my evening with my girl.
Happy Hump Day! Hope all is well in your world.
