Take Cover

Good Morning Everyone!

We made it again to another Friday! Yesterday afternoon and evening there was severe weather in my neck of the woods. My phone went off with a Tornado Warning but the sirens didn’t go off until at least 15 minutes later. I subscribe to a service that also calls to warn of severe weather, that call came hours later. In watching TV, the entire time there was a threat that a Tornado could spin up quickly but there wasn’t one in my area, which is a very good thing. I’ve got some sticks in the yard that fell and lots of leaves scattered about but no damage and that’s the way I like to come out of each and every storm. Always thankful for that. When the warning message came out Gator and I were on the couch, she was sleeping and I just watched out the windows. I had the police scanner on and they were even a bit confused about if they should or shouldn’t set off the warning sirens. Needless to say, local media had weather coverage for the bulk of the afternoon and into the early evening. The only thing that affected me is I didn’t get to see the ending to Jeopardy, not a big deal.

I got in a morning nap yesterday, after a couple hours down here I grew tired and decided to head up and stretch out on the couch. Got to love working from home for that reason alone. I also wrapped up work early around 3p yesterday when the weather started up and once again, I was tired of sitting in front of two monitors. I kept watch on my phone and if I was needed it’s just a stroll back but thankfully nothing came up.

My supper was an odd choice. I didn’t really want to eat but I had what was left of the Carrot Cake and it was a large slice, could have easily been two pieces. I had the strangest dreams and woke up a few times but amazingly managed to fall back to sleep.

I was feeling icky as in dirty last night and itching a little bit so I jumped in the shower. That was refreshing but nothing like it was on Wednesday night. The rash has taken over part of my neck and has spread to ½ of my face. My whiskers disguise it a bit but if you look for a minute you can tell. Very strange and I have no idea what it is. That’s the only place the rash is. I am kind of anxious about shaving but that doesn’t happen until Sunday. I feel fine but it does flair up itching a bit at times. I am on high alert with any itch I get and think twice if I am going to scratch or not. I haven’t put anything on it since I showered on Wednesday night, just a couple showers and that’s it. I will be doing some extra laundry this weekend. Whatever it is I hope that it goes away quickly and doesn’t come back. I might take some Benadryl much later and that will certainly knock me out.

I have one meeting today for about an hour a bit later this morning and after that the day is wide open. Hopefully, it will be a quiet and calm Friday. That’s the way all Friday’s should be for everyone.
