Birds the word

My cameras have gone off a couple times letting me know that a “person” was detected.  Turns out it’s a bird flying in front of the cameras.  Not sure what that is about but I’d rather see that than an actual person because I’m not expecting any visitors. 

Yesterday I had the post all prepared and was about to publish it when my internet dropped.  Apparently there was a power failure or so that is what I was told.  I had to fail over to my cell phone and it was just about time to head up for the day.  I just waited until it came back up and then published the post.  Here’s hoping that I have solid internet connectivity from now until the end of the year.  I say that because outages have occurred more this year than in a very long time.  I’m glad that I have my cell phone to fall back on, otherwise I’d be totally lost. 

Had an average evening nothing to really write about.  I got hungry hours after I had Lasagna and tried some Strawberry Cheesecake Hagen Daz.  Wow that was really good.  I just had a little bit of it so I could savor it.  Wish there wasn’t so much graham cracker in it.  Not sure who thought that one up but they did a good job!

Nothing more on dating at the moment, I have looked but the alerts stopped and so have messages.  I’ve got a few more weeks before both of my subscriptions expire and then I will delete my profiles as well as the apps, unless of course I happen to talk with someone and things are promising.  Might dive into different apps but I mostly see myself taking a break for a bit.  It’s kind of exhausting.  However, it would be nice to meet a guy so that I never had to get on an app again. 

Work is mostly calm and it’s better without the boss.  I hope this theme continues while he is out.  Next week won’t be a whole lot of fun for me because I will be back on-call.  However, I’ll cross that bridge once I get to it.  Right now it’s all about relaxing and enjoying the days as they go by. 

Hard to believe that tomorrow we will be in October.  My birthday month sure did go by fast.  I’m not a huge October fan because my late spouse and my late mom’s birthdays occur towards the end of the month.  They are actually a couple days apart.  In years past it was always something fun to look forward to.  Not so much now.
