Howdy!
I had a bad dream, I was talking and semi awake. Rudy heard me and came in to comfort me. I really didn’t sleep well after that and it started early in my sleep cycle.
I woke up feeling exhausted like I never went to bed in the first place. I passed out breakfast for them and then headed down to take care of the testing for work I needed to do. Both of the cats tried to follow me downstairs and I told them I wouldn’t be long. No sense in herding cats if I don’t have to.
The testing went well but for some reason my work laptop stopped responding and I couldn’t connect to it. The only way to fix it is to go to the office. Not what I really wanted to do.
I came up and got dressed, took my pills and headed off to breakfast. Wound up meeting a neighbor just by talking to a stranger. He asked about my dad and I told him that was my spouse and that he passed around 12 years ago. He said I was wondering because I hadn’t seen him in a long time. It was a dumb thing to say but hey people don’t always know the right thing to say. I’ve never seen this guy before but apparently he saw me. He is older and was dressed like he was headed to church.
I got my food and finished, then headed off to the grocery store. Cruised right through there in a matter of minutes. Kind of felt like I didn’t buy a whole lot but I am sure I will get by on what I purchased or at least try to.
Back home unloaded the groceries. Gave the work laptop a second chance and still couldn’t connect to it. Grabbed my cardkey and told the cats I would be back. I just wanted to go to bed, I was so tired.
I took a cold soda with me and that helped to wake me for a little bit. It was a nice easy drive in with moderate traffic and I opened the shade on the sun roof to let some light in. I went in a different way and came home my usual way – that was all based on what GPS was telling me.
Once I arrived at the office I was quick to get in and get out. I was stunned to find my work laptop was turned on and the machine was locked just like I had left it. It had a network connection but I guess it was just being stubborn. I rebooted it a couple times. I signed in and then locked it. Turned the monitors off and headed out.
I was longing to get home and go back to bed. Once I arrived home I was greeted cheerfully by the cats. Then I worked to get out of my clothes and just before I was going to settle in bed, my phone went off. There was an issue I had to deal with, not what I wanted but I took care of it. Then finally I was able to lay down.
Rudy joined me and got the prime seat where Mora likes to sit. When she came in she was mad that he had her spot but she curled up by my feet. I watched a little TV and then turned it off. I told Rudy to let me be for about an hour and then wake me so I didn’t waste the afternoon in bed. He’s super smart. An hour later he was licking me and starting to bother me just like I told him. Who needs an alarm clock when you have a cat? I eventually gave in and woke up, he did his happy dance and curled up on my chest purring away.
I had already passed out lunch for him and his sister before I laid down. I grabbed a snack and another soda. Then started in with setting out my meds, cleaning their water fountain and then cleaning the house. Put my laundry from last night away and presto here I am.
I had thought about going to the place that serves horrible pizza and getting some pasta but I am really tired. A cheeseburger and some chili sound super good. I’m making a Wendy’s run and that will be supper. I’ve got a few hours to kill before that happens. Then I will be in until Thursday (unless something comes up) when it will be time to visit the eye doctor.
More emails and work have rolled in but it’s not urgent and it will all be there tomorrow morning when I log in, so I’m waiting until then to deal with it. Going to surf the internet for a bit and then head up and watch TV and relax for the afternoon, not a bad way to spend a Sunday. Hope that I stay awake so that I can sleep good tonight.
Happy Sunday – hope yours is a good one!
