Morning … I apparently had one too many naps yesterday as I had problems sleeping last night. I was up around 3a. Both cats tried to help me get back to sleep but their attempts failed. I had to get up and watch some TV for a bit that was the only cure. Then it was back to bed and Rudy woke me up 15 minutes early. I bargained with him and got up 5 minutes early. It’s a good thing that today wasn’t my day to go in or that would have been called off.
Speaking of which my day in will be tomorrow and I am not looking forward to it, mainly because I am on call. I am still going to try to leave at my normal time and hope for the best on the commute home. However, it’s all dependent upon a vendor and I anticipate them to be out early morning so everything should come together.
Two meetings on the agenda for today one before lunch and the other after lunch.
Watched Ellen last special on Netflix it was okay. Not hysterically funny but it was enjoyable. Kind of sad that she faded away from the limelight but I suppose all good things come to an end.
It’s a crisp-cool fall morning here and the sun is out. We are expected to have temps in the 80’s by the afternoon. I was very surprised that the lawn care people showed up yesterday. There is very little for them to do but they mow as if the whole yard needs it. Doesn’t take them long at all but if it was me out there it would easily be an hours worth of work.
Finished off the pizza yesterday. The fridge is back to having no odor and smelling normal. Had a slice of German Chocolate Cake for dessert. My plan was to eat 1/2 the slice and save the other 1/2 but it was just so good that I devoured the whole thing. Something about the filling is what I enjoy and can’t seem to get enough of.
