Thanks for stopping by, hope all is well. Thus far it’s not been a horrible day. I have had 3 meetings today when normally I don’t have any on Friday’s. My boss has been a little bit clingy today.
I was able to get away and have time with the cats. We had a morning nap and of course I was interrupted several times with emails. I just looked figured it didn’t need action right away and went back to sleep or tried to.
We got some unexpected rain this morning, more like a sprinkle. More is supposed to arrive this afternoon or so says the weather app on my phone. That is subject to change just because it’s the weather were talking about.
After my lunch break Rudy didn’t want me to go back to work. He tried to get me to play with him. It took me a little bit to pick up what he was putting down but it became obvious the more time went on. He followed me to the basement door and I hated to but had to close it on him. Soon after it sounded like he was tearing up the house. He’s one special cat and I’m glad he’s mine!
I got a text from my friend that I sent the gift to. She was surprised and touched about how thoughtful I was. I’ve been down that road many times and it’s a road that I don’t want anyone with a loved one (pet or human) to have to travel down. I don’t deal well with death at all and it’s been that way from when I was a kid. Probably didn’t help getting stuck in an elevator at the funeral home either, but that more led to a fear of elevators for a short time.
Looking forward to getting up early tomorrow, showering and having some breakfast out. Then going to see my friends and hang out for a bit. I need to hit up the post office but otherwise nothing else really planned for Saturday. I long to be able to put my phone in airplane mode or power it off all together just to escape. I enjoy the freedom from having to be tethered to it during the work day and when I am on-call.
No word yet from the doc on my rash. The itching & burning have kind of quieted down since I have been using the Anti-Fungal cream. However, the redness persists. I really want it to be gone and for my neck to turn back to it’s normal pale color. Not sure if that is going to happen but I am holding out hope. I also hope that it’s sooner rather than later.
My work day is done except for a COB (Close Of Business) task. That won’t take terribly long but I much prefer to do this from my desk rather than working from my laptop while the cats are around. I can focus better and honestly it helps things flow smoother & quicker. They won’t like me having to come back down but it’s not the worst thing in the world.
YouTube has been pretty good for the most part. However, yesterday and again today there isn’t much that is appealing to me. I go down some rabbit holes of starting a video and then stopping it, looking for something else. I don’t miss the commercials at all, sure would be nice if that was free beyond 30 days but I get it, they need to make money.
