Not much to today. I slept in a bit, had a light breakfast. Planned for a Sam’s run but got comfy and started watching TV. Next thing I knew it was time to leave to meet up with my friends for my early birthday dinner. The food was okay not nearly as good as I remember it being before the pandemic. However, I had plenty left over and brought it all home.
I might make a trip back to this place on my own over a weekend or perhaps stop in after work, it’s fairly close to the office. Very hot, tall, blonde guy tending bar. He could tend me any day! It was worth it to see him. We smiled at each other when I walked in, kind of hot.
Made my way home in rush hour traffic. I am done from that and the little bit of heat that I was exposed to. Kind of a big deal and it’s over.
I expected an invite to a Labor Day party but that didn’t happen. Instead I got an invite to Thanksgiving Dinner. Yeah, no reason to call me up and get together just because apparently we need a holiday or a reason to get together. I’m not pleased about that but whatever.
Tomorrow is vehicle maintenance and I need to be up early. Not sure if I am going out for breakfast or grabbing something here. Kind of depends on how I feel and how much time I have. Sleeping in has kind of become my new thing as much as I didn’t want it to be.
5 more days and then it will be back to ye old bump & grind and I am so not looking forward to it. However, I do plan to enjoy the next 5 days as much as I can.
Hope all is well in your neck of the woods. I am headed up to get ready for bed and play with the cats. I am expecting tomorrow to be more fun, even if I am away for the majority of the day.
