The Weekend

Enjoying getting away from the daily grind and wishing that this could last longer. 

Saturday I woke up early and had a fast food breakfast.  Went to see my friends and then came home and took a nap.  Hung out at home with the cats for a while.  Then I went out later in the evening for supper.  I was hoping to see a cute waiter at a pizza place that I haven’t been to in a while.  I went there for pasta and some garlic cheese bread.  I left with half of my meal as take out.  There was a ton of pasta.  Sadly the cute waiter wasn’t there.  I saw some hot guys while I was there.  Then made my way home.  Just hung out with the cats for the rest of the evening. 

Sunday.  I went to bed late so I got to sleep in for 30 minutes then Rudy gave up and demanded I get out of bed.  Past out breakfast for them.  I made some oatmeal for me, it was pretty good.  Then I went out for a Target run and the grocery store.  I spent most of my money at Target.  Decided to spend the rest of the day at home.  I’ve had a couple naps and watched some YouTube videos.

I got a nice surprise and am watching Andrew Goes Places streaming on TWITCH.  He hasn’t been on forever and I always enjoy hearing and seeing him. 

Tomorrow I will be back on the road, going to check out a new place to eat.  Tuesday it’s back to the buffet for some Mexican food.  Wednesday meeting up with some friends to celebrate my birthday early.  Thursday is car maintenance day and hanging out with my friends.  Friday through Monday is wide open at this point but I don’t expect it to stay that way.  Been looking for a good movie to go see but can’t find anything that is interesting. 

Saw the movie Incoming on Netflix.  It was funny as fuck.  All about some freshmen getting used to high school.  I woke both cats up multiple times from laughing.  That’s something I don’t do much of (laughing) but it sure was fun.  That was our Friday night entertainment. 

I’ve really loved being able to turn my phone off, that is probably the number one benefit from taking time off.  No emails and I am not chained to my phone.  I am just taking it all in now and enjoying this ride while it lasts. 

Had left overs from last night for supper tonight.  I really wanted to go out but that does add up quickly and then I’ve got the dilemma of where to go. 

The cats are sure enjoying the extra time with me.  I’m watching the sun setting earlier it’s subtle now but it won’t be long before it’s dark by 7pm.  Fall is coming.  However, we have another heat wave passing through the area this week so looks like my AC will be getting a workout.  Hopefully, I don’t get sick from being out in the heat. 

Thinking of making another Sam’s club run to see if I can find some of the things that I missed.  Also thinking of upgrading my phone but don’t know that I will have the courage for that just yet.
