Morning … Got to get through today to get to Friday! Then bring on the weekend, I’m ready for some food & rest.
I’m not on call this week it’s the bosses turn. However, I do keep a close watch on my phone and when something work related comes in I tend to look at it. I’m one of those people who likes to keep there inbox at zero emails at all times. I hear were a rare breed. In any case got a couple emails last night that our mobile email solution expired. There is a back story to this but suffice to say the company paid the bill. This wasn’t supposed to happen. Thankfully with a closer look they just suspended our ability to add new phones. I just got an email and looks like that’s all cleared up now.
I spoke with a colleague to verify if email was still flowing and it was. Then spoke with the boss who was already on it. We did some further testing until he got clarification that we just wouldn’t be able to add new devices.
Thankfully all was cleared up in time for me to take my shower. I really was looking forward to that. Ever since my scalp sunburn earlier this year my scalp itches like crazy and having my hair cut short doesn’t help things, that actually promotes itching. Thankfully a nice wash with some conditioner and a bit of patience calms things down that is until it decides to start up again. My scalp never pealed after the burn. I just want the severe itch to stop it’s not fun to deal with. My scalp looks normal and the Barber has no explanation.
Today is the first day in a while that I have nothing but my morning task and lunch on my calendar. I’m planning on taking it easy and lounging around the house. If something at work needs my attention I will give it but otherwise I’m laying low and enjoying the day. Tomorrow I will be back being busy and having to work a longer day.
AC is still on and it ran a little bit yesterday. Both cats were happy to hear and feel it. I just want it to last yet another season. It’s old like everything around here. It needs to be replaced but I am determined to squeeze every bit of life out of it and the furnace until there isn’t any more life to squeeze.
The pizza is gone. I had a hard time finishing the two large slices that were left but I gulped them down. Picking off some onions and some green peppers. The fridge smells normal again. Tonight it will be back to eating from the freezer side.
As for weekend plans doesn’t look like the weather it going to cooperate to permit me to do outside work. I plan to hit up the buffet. It will be a nice long drive. My waitress for Sunday Breakfast is on a trip so I am planning on going to a different place to eat breakfast on Sunday, just switching things up. It will be back to normal next weekend.
Cats are both doing okay. I found Amazon now has the replacement spare water tank for their fountain. I placed an order for it and it should be here tomorrow. The existing one has been in use for 3 years and started to grow green mold. I clean it out the best I can but there are some places where small amounts remain that I simply can’t get to. I will feel much better when I have the replacement unit installed. I clean the fountain and change the filter every 4 weeks, I know if you go longer than that the cats start to get sick. I learned that from dealing with Momma’s family. Funny thing she had a large family and we had a small fountain. Now I have two cats and a large fountain.
Now off to enjoy what I hope will be a nice peaceful day. Fingers crossed. Hope that you have a peaceful day as well. Take care.
