Afternoon Boredom

I was able to take a nice extended break and ate junk food for lunch.  Specifically a muffin and some cookies.  Got in a nap at the start of the break.  Watched Last Week Tonight with John Oliver.  So happy that he’s back on the air.  I saved the first episode of the new season of The White Lotus for later tonight.  Watched some random YouTube videos before returning. 

For me it’s just not that busy today and that’s not a complaint.  I like the lull’s and savor them while they last because I know all too well that things shift with no warning to super busy. 

I had a random thought over the weekend while driving.  Ever see a shoe, a boot, a glove or some other random thing on the side of the road or freeway and wonder how did that get here?  Unless circumstances are extreme I can’t imagine leaving one of anything that is a pair on the side of any road or freeway.  I’ve had this thought for sometime but have always managed to forget about it when it came time to blogging.  Glad I finally remembered.  Wonder what else I forgot about?

I’ve decided that I am going to eat half of the store burrito for supper tonight and take a break from the pizza.  I also decided that if the roads are in decent enough shape and I feel like it that I am going to head to the buffet on Saturday.  It’s a little over an hours drive each way and that should be a nice little bit of exercise for my vehicle.  If I don’t feel like it then I will try to go to some place not so far away but at least get some time on the freeway.  I like driving but often lack the motivation and with it being cold and sloppy outside those are only further impediments for me. 

It’s close to 3p here and that is a bit early to call it a day but I might just head up and be with the cats while keeping my electronic leash by my side in case anything should come up.  Still waiting with baited breath to find out if were going to close the office tomorrow and/or Wednesday.  If the snow isn’t enough to do it the plummeting temperatures should be.  Weatherman said at noon that he wouldn’t be surprised if there were three days of closures.  That might be but I will be right here WFH and staying warm and out of the elements.  The week is off to a slow start but doesn’t mean it will be that way all week long.
