Hip Hip Hooray! A couple days to rest, power off my phone and sleep as long as I want Gator permits me to. Last night I saw Jar Head 3, it was actually pretty good and there were a couple things that I didn’t see coming. It held my attention and made me very glad that I never tried to be a Marine. It was always an aspiration. After seeing Top Gun flying a plane sounds good to me now as well. Back when I was much younger that probably wouldn’t have appealed to me.
Yesterday’s thirst trap on Social Media for me was Charlie Puth. He released the cover art of his next album, called Charlie and it will be out on October 3rd. I believe (but am not 100%) that he plans to release all of the songs ahead of the album it’s self. Anyway he’s got on these leather pants and that just made me drool. I wish their was a view from the back. I’ve seen Charlie’s butt photos that are available on-line but still an updated view would be nice.
Here’s what I am drooling over ….
Feet aren’t my thing but the leather pants and the wife beater t-shirt. Wow!
In Gator news. She had me up a couple times last night. She had a hunger feast at 3a where she ate 1 1/2 small cans. I got her to spend some time with me in my lap, which was short but nice. She started crowing an hour before I was scheduled to get out of bed. I got up and found that she had just given up and was climbing back into her bed on the couch. At that point I only had 15 minutes left but I was so tempted to take them. Instead I got her some food and made her get herself up and back on the floor to eat. It appears that she consumed a decent amount of water overnight. I don’t know how much she actually drank but I am sure some of it got on her face and body because she likes to play with and sit in the water. I’ve still got my senses elevated and am concerned about her but that will always be the case, given her age until she takes her final breath. She’s my world!
Earlier in the week I happened to peek out and saw a family of Raccoons it was Momma and I think 4 babies. They are living under the deck, which is fine by me. They tend to come out at Dusk and the kids like to walk around on the deck and see what they can see. Momma sits under a rocker and watches closely. When it’s time to head for cover she sounds the alarm and the kids fall in and they are all gone in a flash. Gator I think saw them but I am not 100%. They were out last night. I stood and watched them and they had no clue I was even there. I think they are all cute and love looking at them. I don’t want to interact with them. It’s tempting to feed them but I won’t. I don’t want to disturb nature and interrupt or interfere with their natural ability to hunt for food. I honestly don’t know how they survive but then again I can say the same thing about a mouse. Years ago when I was leaving food out for the stray cats we had, the Raccoons would get into it and they would devour the food and the paper plate it was on.
Today is pretty chill but I do have some pesky meetings to tend to. The first one is around the corner. I will be doing some teaching later this morning to a new person the joined our tech team all about two factor authentication. It’s not that interesting but I know the person is looking forward to it so that is kind of inspirational to me.
I’ve got a haircut on the books for tomorrow but otherwise nothing planned. Have to remember to get the trash out this afternoon because they will be by to wake me up and retrieve it early tomorrow morning. That along with Gator will probably keep me low on sleep but I will try to take in as much as possible. Stay cool and hydrated. Have a great weekend and I will talk with you all again soon.
