Two Updates in 1 Day

I am bored.  Still have an hour and a half to go.  Sure wouldn’t mind if we closed early again today, but I doubt that will happen.

My partner informed me that I have some laundry to do when I get home.  I’m not happy about that, but I will get it taken care of.

He called again and told me that his Urologist rescheduled him for next week, because he has a catheter in.  The Dr. wasn’t too happy but he would have known about it if he would have read his mail.  Now he has a problem that he is going constantly, this guy wants to put him back on a medicine that will cause him to go even more.  Are you kidding me?  He is being played as a human ping pong ball.  One doctor says this and the other doctor says that.  He is going back to his PCP tomorrow, so hopefully they will sort things out there.  What a mess!

I realized yesterday and again today that looking at porn while at the office isn’t a good idea.  Not because I might get caught but because it gets me all worked up and I can’t do a thing about it.  I’ve got to have something to do with my time – looking at photos of guys really does pass the time! 

The new computer I was supposed to configure isn’t in yet.  Not sure if FedEx dropped the ball, I will give them an extra day before I panic.  Sure would be funny if they delivered it to my old job again.  I wouldn’t imagine they would make the same mistake twice, but then again there are humans involved.

The machine I was supposed to revive well it’s dead and can’t be saved.  No CD ROM, no recovery media or recovery option and when you turn it on, it goes to a blue screen.  You can get to windows if you go into Safe Mode but then it won’t let you login.  Not sure what the hell happened to it, but it’s in a nice resting place now.  The new machine that replaced this is humming right along and the lady is happy as a clam.

Word has spread about me that I am here.  So people just reach out to me either directly or indirectly but the bottom line is they are calling.  That’s a good thing.  I wish we had slightly more issues so I could work more and play a little less.  Having to look busy all the time is difficult to pull off, not to mention exhausting!

I’m counting down the hours until it’s Pasta Time.  I think I will be getting Lasagna.  If they have some good soup I will get that, otherwise some Garlic Cheese Bread and a soda.  That should do it.  Then when we get home I can have a piece of cake for desert if I am up for it. 

Tomorrow night’s supper will be left over Chili.  My guy wanted to make Chicken Noodle Soup.but I told him lets eat the Chili.  It will save money and time.  Tonight is a treat because he is short on time and I’ve got the gift certificate.  Good to splurge!

My problem is I splurge a little too much.  I see something, I want it and then I buy it.  Now riddle me this, I pay my credit card in full each month.  I asked for a little more credit and was told no.  However, I keep getting notices that I am pre-approved for a $30, auto loan from my credit card company.  That makes no sense at all. 

Speaking of finances, a couple week ago I talked with a lady who was telling me all about how her boyfriend ran up her credit card bills and she was stuck paying it all off.  I told her to claim fraud and file charges but she said she loves him and can’t do that.  Wow, this is an abusive relationship but it’s financial abuse.  People fall in love and then are too close to the forest to see the trees, it’s like they abandoned common sense.  I told her about my Bankruptcy, she is the first person I have mentioned that to here.  Anyway, she was telling me how she was in consolidation.  I told her that is a waste of time and money.  Yeah, but she has 6% interest.  I told her so what, your still paying way too much.  If you want relief Bankruptcy is the answer.  Your debts will be wiped out in 6 months if you file a Chapter 7.  You will have to pay for your car and house, like you do today unless you want to give them up.  She wants to try the consolidation thing.  Okay, but I think she is putting off the inevitable.  If she can make it work good for her.  Either way your credit is pretty much toast.  However, companies will work with people that file Bankruptcy.  Not so sure about Consolidation.  Plus I’m living proof that you can file Bankruptcy and get a credit card again.  You won’t have a high credit limit but you will at least have something, which is a way to a fresh start and rebuilding your credit.  You just have to be careful not to fall into a trap where you can’t pay it off and they get to charge you interest.  That is the gotcha that they are hoping for. 

Looks like I may be going on a road trip again this week, back to the same place I was on Friday.  The maintenance guy called me this morning and said where does this cable run.  I started laughing but he didn’t get it.  I told him it goes no where, he had to run it.  Then I talked about terminating the ends and wow that freaked him out.  So long as all 8 wires are hooked up the same on both ends, the cable will work.  No need for a color code, but it does make things easier and helps to ensure uniformity.  He said he would be calling me back either later today or tomorrow.  Fine by me.  I told him I am happy to come back to help him run the wire and terminate the ends or to do both.  However, based on the construction of the building I wasn’t sure how to run the cable and that’s where I really needed his help.  Then the genius said something else funny.  What is the cable for?  Duh, it’s to get her a network connection, hence why it’s called network cable.  Oh, so she will be able to get the internet.  Bingo!  Wow makes me wonder sometimes where they find these people.  However, it’s job security so I can’t complain much + it might get me out of the office.  I am in charge of taking care of the local travel so I’d set this up for Friday if I had to go again.  I would be sure to stop for pizza this time and make sure I could start my weekend early this time and that I was home way before quitting time. 

Stay tuned for more updates.  Right now I have to tend to my nose it’s acting up.  There is dust all over my office from the patient I was working on earlier and I am suffering.  Another reason why I can’t wait to leave!
