Hardly Working Monday

Well I am back at the office.  I’ve spent part of my morning trying to hunt down a copy of PC Anywhere.  Symantec/Norton makes trial versions of their software but PCA is especially hard to find.  I had a Spanish version of it but that didn’t work.  I’ve found another version and hopefully it works.  I want to test it out to see if it works before I invest my companies money in something that won’t do me any good.  It’s around $200 and while that isn’t much in business, I would really feel bad spending that kind of money just to have to throw the product away.  So we shall see how things go.

I woke up at 4am this morning to use the rest room and just couldn’t seem to fall back asleep.  Sinus drainage and my nose.  Plus the house was a little chilly.  I turned the heat on Saturday morning and haven’t turned it off yet.

My partner was up early as well.  He bought some Groupon deal worth $200 where we have to pick out several restaurants and spread the amount around.  I was going to do that with him this morning but there was no time.  Perhaps we can get together this afternoon.  Modern technology can be so helpful, when it works!

I just finished up writing fan letters to David Petkau and Neil Patrick Harris.  I looked up the price for a 1 ounce letter from the US to Canada and it’s 85 cents.  Wow kind of expensive just to send a letter to tell him I think he is hot, but so worth it.

Today is Columbus Day here in the US.  I see in Canada today is Thanksgiving .  Happy Thanksgiving to my Canadian friends and readers.  I hope you have a great day and enjoy plenty of good food.  I so look forward to next month and our Thanksgiving here in the US.  I sent an invite to our friends over the weekend to see if they want to join us again.  I also made reservations and once again we are keeping up our tradition and visiting Maggiano’s.  Sausage Stuffing sounds so very good!  Plus the place will be decorated for Christmas.  Hopefully we get Thursday and Friday.  If not I will take Friday as a vacation day, makes no sense to get out of the house on Black Friday, which is more like a Canadian Boxing Day.  Traffic and Shopping are two things you don’t want to do on that day, regardless of the bargains.

Why is it every year that someone burns their house down deep frying a turkey and on black Friday someone always gets injured or killed in a shopping spree.  You would think people would be more careful, but no doesn’t happen.

Yesterday at the store I picked up some bargain $1 orange wipes.  I’ve cleaned my desk.  They didn’t say they killed germs, just that they would help with cleaning.  This thing was filthy.  I eat lunch here most every day, wow.  I’ll be using them on a regular basis.  My office smells of a light orange scent.  Kind of nice.

Now speaking of smells I am not happy with the way I smell today.  I used a different scent of deodorant and combine that with my cologne - - now I smell like a cross between a wet cat and a musty closet.  I can’t wait to get home to take my shirt off and maybe even get a quick shower.

I had so much that I wanted to do this weekend, but that didn’t happen.  I guess I can always try again for next weekend.  Need to do some spring cleaning in the bathroom and with my hair care products.  I actually got away from using hair care for a while but have recently went back to it.  I like shiny bright hair and product is the only way to make that happen, short of dying it and that isn’t something I am going to do.  Old product breaks down and can be toxic, so your better off throwing it away than using it.

Speaking of throwing away things, I have yet to use my transit pass for the month of October.  What a waste of $72.  Next week we are having an office party to get to know everyone better.  I could use it that day to get to the party, it’s at a local restaurant about 5 minutes from work.  A little walking would be good for me, but honestly I haven’t decided yet.

My right foot is acting up again.  I have always liked to shake my legs/feet.  If I do that now with my right foot is aggravates it for some reason.  I will be breaking out the foot massager.

Going home will be extra nice tonight because we are having Chili.  Cold weather just goes so well with this.  I’ve been on a soup kick for the past few days and this will be great.  Eat up a couple bowls of this.  Get hot, cool off with some ice cream and taking out the trash.

I don’t expect a whole lot going on at home, so hopefully I can get a break from technology and just relax with some TV and the kids.  Maybe just maybe get to bed early and have a great nights sleep.

I hope you had a great day and that life is treating you well.  Take care and I will talk with you peeps later!

Thanks Jer, yep it was Thanksgiving weekend for us up here in Canada... had a nice long weekend and so much in my life to be thankful for really.

I've heard about your Black Friday, and yes if it's anything like our Boxing Day (day after Christmas) I wouldn't go out, I'd stay home! LOL

Have a good week!
