Good Friday

Morning … we made it again, another Friday!

Yesterday was largely a very boring and long day.  The cats were a little frisky playing and of course Rudy managed to upset his sister and I had to calm them down.  Rudy’s tail was fluffed up so he was upset as well.  Not exactly sure what it was all about, it took place while I was brushing my teeth.  I heard hissing and that’s when I went looking. 

I know that cats use hissing as a way of communicating but I hate the sound, it typically means there is trouble brewing.  So I get loud and try to break things up and then calm everyone down before any fur goes flying.  Which saves my wallet from going flying or at least it has up to this point. 

Suffered as long as I could yesterday as the humidity and temperature continued to increase as the day went on.  I made it to an hour before bed and it was 80 in here.  I couldn’t take it any longer and flipped the AC on.  It’s cool in the house this morning but it’s supposed to heat up as the day goes on.  More rain. 

Got a surprise yesterday from Amazon.  One of my regular subscription items wasn’t included in my delivery on Wednesday so they pushed it to Thursday.  I heard the camera alert but I was laying down and didn’t care.  I woke up just before a meeting and looked outside to find no package.  Reviewed camera footage and saw a lady parked in my driveway.  She took a picture of the package like she was dropping it off then picked it up and walked it to the neighbors house.  I figured they delivered to the wrong house and it would come bouncing back.  Well then about an hour later the Amazon truck pulls up and a driver dropped a package at the door.  I went to get it and it looked flat for what I was expecting.  I looked to make sure it was addressed to me and had my address on it.  Then I opened it to find it was a USB adapter for a motorcycle headset.  I have no motorcycle and this is useless to me.  What I was expecting was eye lid wipes.  I phoned and got a refund.  Then placed an order for the item again and it’s supposed to show up today.  Fingers crossed they deliver the right thing today. 

This happened to me years ago.  I ordered a naked man calendar and got a normal calendar.  This was back in the day when they put packing slips in.  I saw the outside was addressed to me but the inside had a different name and address.  I imagine that person got the surprise of their live when they opened the package and found naked men on a calendar.  Hopefully it didn’t give anyone a heart attack.  I called Customer Service and they got a good laugh out of it.  I sent back the normal calendar and they sent me the naked man calendar I ordered. 

Were all human and we all make mistakes.  Some of us just make more of them than others, like my co-worker, The Fuckup King!

Salisbury Steak with Mac & Cheese was supper last night.  It was okay nothing special.  Finished off the other half of the slice of chocolate cake.  Not sure what I will have tonight but I can tell you I won’t go hungry.  I had junk food for lunch yesterday, some crackers, a couple granola bars and a yogurt. 

No meetings on the docket for me today, hopefully it will be a quiet day.  I am glad that it’s the last day I have to watch things because the boss is on-call.  Next week The Fuckup King will be on-call.  Then the following week it’s my turn.  I savor my off weeks can’t wait until the boss is no longer on-call. 

Off to surf a bit then to tune in and see if my favorite judge is working today.  Sun is out and it’s nice out but that’s not going to last terribly long.  Have a great day!
