Hey, hope your Saturday is going well!
I had a lousy nights sleep. I nodded off before the ending of the latest episode of The Pitt. I remember waking up in a panic thinking the TV was still on but I managed to turn it off or it powered off. Made it back to sleep. Then woke up again several hours later at 3a. I wound up watching TV for an hour and then I was able to go back to sleep. I knew that had put a damper on what I really wanted to do in the morning.
Rudy had me up at 7:01a. I got to sleep in a bit, normally I get a 6a wake up call. I followed him to the kitchen and passed out breakfast. Then used the restroom and watched TV. Mora looked at me funny like she had no idea what I was doing. She followed me to my room but I told her to go eat breakfast. Eventually she made her way out to to the kitchen and ate. Then she joined her brother and I in my room. Both cats passed out on my bed and they were all stretched out, they looked so cute. An hour later I got up and had my breakfast.
I was hoping that the guy would call about my landscaping stuff, he hinted at this weekend when we talked earlier in the week. However, I heard nothing from him. Perhaps next weekend. I’m not going to wait forever on him, I know it means I will have to pay more but I want the job done.
Work emails kept pouring in but they were junk alerts and some reports. I was able to pass out again and woke up a couple hours later. Not sure how I slept through 2 emails coming in from work but they were junk. Hey I’m not on-call this weekend so it’s no big deal.
I was sitting watching TV and kind of bored. That’s when something broke loose at work and a member of upper management reached out to me. This is where exceling at your job sucks because it gets you more work. I could have pushed this off to the on-call guy but he was already working an issue. I opted to loop him in and we talked about it. There really wasn’t an issue for us, just someone who panicked because they dealt with an unscrupulous company.
Back to TV watching for a bit and then I got a shower and put on some clothes to head out. Made it to the Mexican place by the office, then hit up the office. Grabbed my mug and brought it home, time to wash it. We got new carpet in the office, looks nice. They were supposed to re-carpet all of the offices but mine got skipped. Not that I care. I mean my office is a former closet and it’s not like I am there. I looked for any mail and had none, which is a good thing. Then headed to get the mail and cat food. Finally made it back home. It took around 2 hours, which is what I had estimated.
Cat food is put away, cats have been fed food & treats. Given attention and I am working on finishing up laundry. I’ve done my internet surfing and bill paying. Everything is status quo here.
It’s very much like Spring today in the 60’s, sun is out and it was a nice day. I could have used a light jacket but didn’t take anything. Something about no coat or jacket feels really good. I did stick with long sleeves though. We have a hind wind advisory that is going to kick in through tomorrow, winds up to 60 mph and rain/storms moving in. I will for sure need a coat tomorrow morning when I venture out for breakfast, target and grocery shopping. I’m thinking I might grab a frozen pizza and just stay home. I kind of don’t want to, I mean I’m here all week long and the weekend is my escape and chance to get out. I may throw caution to the wind and venture out for an evening meal as well. Kind of depends on how I feel and how bad the weather actually is.
Here’s hoping the rest of the weekend continues to be peaceful because Monday is around the corner. Then we get to do the whole work thing all over again and my boss will be back so that means so will the BS and meetings, ugh!
