Estimates

Morning – Yesterday started off so nice and cool, then it warmed up as the afternoon went on.  I finally gave in and flipped the AC on it was 81 in here.  Both cats were sound asleep when I did this.  As soon as that cool breeze from the AC started to blow on Mora, she woke up with excitement and headed to inspect the vents.  She goes so crazy over cool air and her brother does the same thing just not quite to the same level as she does.  One of the strange quirks they have.  Every year we go through this and it will be an all Summer long thing once the weather decides to warm up for good. 

The AC is still on as today is expected to be a record setter I think were going back into the 90’s if I remember correctly from the news.  Severe weather is also a threat for today.  Then we have a rapid cool down.  Back and forth temperature swings confuse everyone and everything.

Yesterday afternoon I got a phone call from the guy that my friend referred me to.  He will be by next week to give me an estimate and/or point me in another direction.  Meanwhile today I actually have a roofing company coming this afternoon to give me an estimate.  They want to do an inspection and I’m sure they are going to want to climb on the roof, only to try to upsell me.  I only want the dumb post replaced and nothing else, no need to do any climbing.  The guy was kind of slick on the phone and I just felt like he can’t wait to make love to my wallet. 

Work was a little stressful but I worked through it.  One of the meetings got cancelled which I was thankful for.  That caused me to be able to eat lunch earlier.  I had one slice of cold pizza.  Dinner was the same thing but I heated the pizza up.  Now it’s all gone, thank god.  I ate so much cheese it was super thick, but that’s part of deep dish pizza. 

The weekend is so close I can taste it.  Plans are to hopefully eat breakfast out on Saturday (if I get moving early enough).  Getting my haircut, then venturing out to see my friend at his shop.  I’m still on-call but hopefully it will be a typical non-event weekend.  Last thing I want is to have to race back home to deal with some work BS. 

One thing I’ve noticed that is strange to me is that there have been endless images of Seth Peterson popping up on my social media.  He passed away last weekend.  This morning I see his latest scene is out at FratX, it was his turn to bottom.  I kind of think that’s too soon.  Not sure how many other scenes of his are in the pipeline but I read that he had 6 lined up for this year at Falcon.  Social media is still very much buzzing about his passing.  I’ve been looking for an official obituary but nothing has been posted, which I do find odd considering that with in a few days of passing most peoples obits are published.  Something I saw on-line said that you don’t want to know the truth behind what happened.  I tried to read comments on the post but I wasn’t able to, due to my account settings.  Honestly I’d like to know the truth behind every young persons passing that I know or am familiar with, regardless if they are a porn star or not.  Young people just aren’t supposed to die and it’s tough to grasp just how fragile life is. 

I am freezing here in the basement this morning its 70 degrees with 35% humidity.  To warm up all I need to do is climb the stairs it’s warmer on the main level and the heat is only going to continue to rise as the day goes on.  I don’t look forward to the severe weather but apparently I am in the low risk section for Tornadoes but they are still possible.
