Welcome in!
For some silly reason I felt comfortable before I went to bed and elected not to turn up the thermostat. I knew it wouldn’t be the case when I woke up but yet I went to bed.
When I awoke this morning I was greeted by Rudy promptly at 6a. He was ready to eat and wanted to get his day started. While I understand his enthusiasm I didn’t share it. I rolled over and tried to go back to sleep. After 30 minutes I gave up and just got up. I felt the chill in the air, not as bad as I thought it would be but still it was there.
Got Rudy his breakfast and then I had to try to convince Mora to eat. I think she got a little bit but she was more about staying next to my side. I guess it was a FOMO thing but there was nothing to miss out on. I was just going through my usual Sunday motions of getting dressed, taking medicine and getting ready to head out for breakfast.
The garage felt pretty good (only because it’s insulated) and when I got and started the automobile up, it said the outside temperature was 63 degrees. If only that were true, it was 38. Spitting rain or snow, not sure which I just saw precipitation on my windshield.
Made it to the restaurant and unlike last Sunday the place had just a handful of people. By the time I left the place was starting to fill up. I was so confused on what exactly to order. I got 5 scrambled eggs and Strawberry French Toast. The eggs really helped to fill the void and I was stuffed when I left. I saw they had Carrot Cake and I got a slice to go. I plan to enjoy that a bit later.
Onward to the grocery store. Last week I had three bags of stuff for $75 this week it was two bags and $69. I didn’t see my favorite cashier but was hoping to. I know our paths will cross again eventually but who knows when that will be. Next stop was for gas and some cute guy took the spot where I normally go. He smiled at me as if he was about to murder me. I smiled back and kind of felt a cold chill run down my spine. I filled up and came home.
Groceries put away I knew that I would have to go back out to drop off the timer. I stayed dressed and watched some TV. I got drowsy but didn’t want to fall asleep. Eventually I got up and made the trip to the UPS store to drop off the package. Happy to report that a couple hours later I got my refund, so that’s behind me.
I wound up getting my meds set out for the week ahead and then I went and laid down. Took a short 1/2 hour nap. Both cats joined me. My neck is bothering me and I feel kind of like I am getting ill but just not fully sure yet. I think it’s the cold weather and how it affect my body. I hope that I am not getting sick, it’s the last thing I need.
Working on more laundry. Need to go up to grab another load but really don’t want to move. I’m comfy cozy. However, nothing is going to get done if I don’t move. I’ve got the little house cleaning done that I wanted to accomplish. It’s kind of a take it easy Sunday.
I’m having Mexican food for supper. Thought about going to my usual place just because it’s so good but there is a place that is closer to home that makes a dish I really like. They charge extra for using a credit card but I think that’s where I am going. Besides that I have seen a lot of hot guys there. Not that I will see any today. I’m going for the food but wouldn’t object to seeing some eye candy or making a new friend. However, I won’t hold my breath.
Back to work and another week of torture at work. Hopefully, things won’t be too bad. While it may not be this week I think by next week things will start to slow down a bit since we are approaching a holiday.
Hope you had or are having a great Sunday and staying warm. Talk soon.
