Morning
Not a whole lot going on here. I ended my dating app experience and honestly am kind of glad that it’s over with. All of the extra emails and alerts were bothersome. I’m sure at some point I will jump back in and perhaps give different apps a try. What I dislike the most is the fake profiles and people who are there to try to scam others. Dating is hard enough, add in the gay factor and that makes it a little more complex, at least from where I sit. Nothing like meeting someone in person and having a connection, exchanging numbers and meeting up. I see it in the movies all the time but it seems old fashioned today as the apps are the hip way to meet. This certainly won’t discourage me from making a move if I see a hot guy in person.
Had a little shake up this morning on my way down the steps, I managed to slip and fell part of the way. The cats thought I was playing a game and they came to follow me. It was a little scary and I have some rug burn and am a little sore but otherwise I am fine, at least at the moment. Perhaps when the adrenaline wears off I will feel differently but I certainly hope not. I really didn’t want to come to work today considering that I am on-call but here I sit.
Went out on Saturday with one of my Thanksgiving friends. Met up at Olive Garden. It was a spur of the moment thing. I wanted to go to the buffet but didn’t want to do all of that driving. I had a backup plan but now don’t remember what it was. I was surprised to get a yes when I called. This was a bit expensive but it was a nice time. I only wish that he would have had some stronger deodorant on. He looked and smelled like he was out in the sun all day long and it was a bit of a chore to sit at the same table with him. Not to mention the fact it was embarrassing. Which might explain why we got poor service and the fact that our soup/salad came out as the same time as our meals.
Yesterday it was me all on my own. I took a trip for some pizza. I hoped to see the hot straight waiter that I have a crush on but he wasn’t working. I still enjoyed a decent pizza and have plenty left over to make it through the week.
Both of the cats are doing fine. Although I heard them fighting a few minutes ago and haven’t been up to check on them. They love each other but at times one eggs the other one on and that’s how arguments start. They usually don’t last long, I just hope there is no blood shed that is always my worst fear. Were near claw trimming time too.
Today is supposed to be our last day of Summer here with above average temperatures in the 80’s and the AC wondering when break time is coming. There is a cold front pushing in that will bring some rain and cooler temperatures so said the weather person this morning. I suppose time will tell.
Ordered some new computer glasses yesterday from Warby Parker. I did the home try on thing and picked my frame that way. All of my computer glasses have come from them for a few years now. It’s been 3 years since I last got a pair and that’s a bit too long. My regular daily wear prescription is much older. However, I see just fine without glasses for the most part. The computer screen, super low light and fine print are the things that bother me the most. I know it won’t be this way forever so I am trying to enjoy it while it lasts. The frame and lens was $95 but then add in some special coatings and thinner lens and the price jumped quickly and drastically. However, I think it’s a worthwhile expense since it’s my eyes.
I hope that all is well in your world and that life is being good to you. Thanks for stopping by.
