Odd combo

Hey ladies and gents, welcome in!

Nothing much going on here, average week and average day.  It’s a little boring but hey it’s better than running around like my hair is on fire, so I’ll take it.  I have had a few moments of excitement from work and well there was my fall on Monday that started the week off, that wasn’t exciting but it sure got the blood and adrenaline pumping.

I love adrenaline, the rush and the thrill when it’s for an adventure and not because of an accident.

I’ve been telling the cats not to put butter on my socks and push me down the steps ever again.  It wasn’t their fault but my socks were oddly slippery on the steps and that’s how I lost my footing.  Living here for 20 something years and only having two stair issues I’d say isn’t bad.  However, I do worry with my age increasing that one day I will fall be it down the steps or elsewhere and do some serious damage.  Hopefully that can remain a concern and not turn into reality.  I’ve never broken a bone in my body and don’t want to.

One of the previous times when I was sick I found an odd food combo of Mostaccioli and Saltine Crackers, it just paired well together.  I’ve tried it a couple times since, last night being one of those times and it just didn’t quite hit the same.  It was okay but not delicious like it previously had been.  I didn’t eat all of the pasta so I can enjoy it tonight.

Yesterday was the perfect fall day where the temperatures were cool enough that the cats asked me to open the back door.  I complied and Mora went about eating spider webs and licking the door frame.  Despite me telling her not to she persisted to the point where I closed the door.  I know she was just being a cat but it bothers me to see her act this way.  There is a danger factor here and I’d just as soon not wonder down that path.  She is fine and still kicking this morning as I suspected.  I know the next time I open the door I will fight this battle all over again.  Rudy is just curious and loves to feel the breeze or smell the fresh air.

I had a late task to take care of at work and logged in for it.  While I was there I saw that I could help someone that had a simple problem, so I jumped and took care of it.  I got an email back from a colleague impressed and admiring me for my dedication and asking me if I ever clocked out.  I had a smart ass response that I wanted to use but chose not to.  He was just being kind and I thanked him for that.  I know to a lot of people it seems like I am always working it’s more about convenient timing or seeing something of concern on my phone.  I’m home and in a position to help so why not.  I don’t always feel that way and do let somethings playout without my involvement but if it’s what I call a quick win, I’ll jump in every time.  You’d be surprised at the number of times that backfires on me, yet I still go back for more.

That got me to thinking last night they would be crazy if they ever fired me.  I mean not that I am not replaceable but look at all of the ways that I help and jump in.  No one and I mean no one else does that.  Maybe I’m dedicated or perhaps just a little crazy.  I take care of work and work seems to take care of me.

Well ho hum back to work.  Hope it’s a great day!
