Tuesday

Hello again.  Happy Tuesday if there is such a thing.  I made it to the office, despite not wanting to go.  Rudy tried to wake me super early but he didn’t get food, just some attention and then I rolled over and went back to sleep. 

My neck hurts and it’s been bothering me for 2 days now.  It’s not major pain but I am wondering if it’s related to the cat bite.  The bite it’s self looks perfectly fine.  It still itches like crazy and I am still putting ointment on it.  Rudy watched me do it this morning. 

I’ve got this mattress topper that moves and between that and the cats I wind up in some strange positions.  Neck aches are usually a sign that I slept wrong or there is an infection brewing.  I’m hoping that it’s just poor sleeping posture.  I feel fine other than being bored out of my mind. 

I took care of all of my early morning tasks and assignments.  I even went looking for work and helped out someone with a hardware problem.  That’s not part of my job but I used to do it in my prior position and I miss it a little bit.  No one else was helping the person so I figured why not just.  That could easily back fire on me but it’s a risk I am willing to take.  Thus far I have never been yelled at because I helped someone out.  I mean hell were all playing for the same team. 

I’ve made my rounds and seen the people that I wanted to as well as a few that I didn’t want to see.  Honestly I am ready to head home now and it’s not even lunch time yet.  That’s kind of my whole point of why bother to come in, it’s more cost effective and time efficient for me to just stay home.  Ah well next week I won’t be here because I will be on-call again.  I hate that but it’s part of the job. 

Watched TV last night with the cats.  Had my social media hour last night at 7p.  The TV turns off and so do the cats.  I passed out treats early because Morea wanted them.  Rudy wouldn’t budge from the couch.  I figured I would hit him up later.  Don’t you know it when he moved I passed out treats for him he walked passed them and Morea got more.  I told her to save some because her brother didn’t get any.  Not sure if she listened to me.  All I know is neither one of them is going hungry. 

I checked the camera in my room and they were both sitting on my bed.  They stared at the camera when I looked in on them and then they settled back down.  I have never actually talked to them when I was here because I don’t want to confuse them or make them think I am in the basement.  They know I walked out the door but do they remember hours later?  I have no idea. 

Looking forward to leaving at 3p or shortly there after to beat the rush hour traffic.  I told the cats I would be home before 5p and that’s the goal.  Appears that the rain has taken a break today so perhaps the grass people will show up. 

Hope you have a good day.  I am headed back to the salt mine and seeing what is lingering in wait for me.  I’ve got a decent lunch a Ham & Turkey sandwich that looked so good last night when I made it I am surprised that I was able to put it in the bag without taking a bite.  Lunch is around the corner but I will be sitting right here at my desk.  Today was actually the most I have walked around the office in a very long time.
