Another nice weekend here. Last week was exhausting but came with great news. Yesterday I managed to get up and get started early. I headed the hair cut store. I got the stylist that I like and she knows how to fade my neck line so there isn’t one. I told her high and tight and she did a nice job. We started with a zero guard which is bare skin, then above that a 1A and down to a 1, then on top my standard two. It’s going to itch like hell when it grows back but this was close to my last hoorah for summer. I may be able to get 1 to 2 more short cuts and then it will be back to long hair and that means a two all over, so not really that long. I suffer from a hair disorder. You know people who have eating disorders and they look in the mirror and all they see is fat when in reality they are super thin. Well for me I look in the mirror and think my hair is so long, it’s time for a haircut. Things got so bad that every 2 weeks I was getting my hair cut. When I was a young adult I had long hair and I show people that and they just fall out. I kind of wish that I could go back to that but the color of my hair has changed so much that I don’t know how well I’d like it. I keep saying I am going to color it and maybe 1 time I’ll give in to that. For now this is my walk on the wild side.
After my haircut I grabbed breakfast and that’ where I learned on social media that one of the porn studios and it’s ownership is being sued. They have lost a lot of talent (models) over the past year and some of them were pretty big names. The funny thing is that this is a camera man that is suing them. It’s mainly over the fact that they disclosed his real name and he was world famous for commercial camera work. Now that happened his claim is that his reputation is ruined and he will loose out on work because big name main stream commercial clients won’t hire him. Porn is about identity protection which is why everyone goes by a stage name. There are a few people that use their real names but for the most part the names are fake. I get it and understand why it’s done – especially in Gay porn with all of the hate their is in this world you can’t be too careful. I am interested to see how this turns out. I’m guessing they will settle out of court but the guy behind the porn studio sounds like a real hot head and a first class jerk so who knows.
I purchased some cat food for the kids and then grabbed a case of soda and a case of water for myself.
Then my next trip was to the post office to pick up mail and then home. I collapsed and watched TV, which eventually led to nap time. Being on-call I knew as soon as my head hit the pillow the damn phone would ring. I actually got maybe 15 minutes and was sound asleep when bingo it worked. It was a friend who wanted to get a bite to eat. I made reservations and we got together for supper aka dinner. He’s a real horn dog and always has been, your sitting with him and I hear wow looks at the tits on her or look at how revealing her clothing is. It’s funny for about 5 minutes and then it wears on my last nerve. He asked if we could sit in a particular waitresses section, I would have rather had a particular waiter but I let him have his fun. I got to see plenty of good looking guys but I don’t typically call attention to who I am attracted to. Now and then yes I’ll make a comment but for the most part we can talk about plenty of other things.
My technical adventure of the day was converting my stamps program. The provider went from an installed software program to a web based client. You had to change to different stamps and there is a serial number printed on the roll. There were several moments when I was frustrated and had to take a step back. Eventually I got things working. My only cost is the actual postage and the labels themselves. But even then they had an exchange program in place so they would take up to 2 boxes of your old stamps and swap them no charge. I did that. I have 400 stamps and that will probably last me several years. I don’t do that much snail mail. It’s a lost art of writing a letter and mailing it, so occasionally it’s enjoyable. The most frequent thing I do is submit for a rebate for expensive medicine I take. Wowza.
Ms. Momma also got sick. She started a shit storm crapping here, there and everywhere. Then she puked and things were slowly starting to wind down. She was behind on a couple doses of medicine and I think that is what caused it. I felt really bad plus I had several messes to clean up. Not a fun way to spend any day.
That was the long version of yesterday. Today was mailing a couple letters, breakfast, chit chat with one of the regular guys at the restaurant. Then on to the grocery store where I managed for the first time in well over two months to make it out the door without spending over $100. I was quite happy about that. Then stopped to fuel up the vehicle and then on to home where I had to unload everything.
I noticed when looking at all of the 3 watches I own they were all slightly out of sync. So I had to adjust them which is always a slightly difficult task. Timing is everything I am a perfectionist, especially when it comes to the little things like that. Now were back in sync.
I entered in my receipts for my purchases and my vehicle loan caught my eye. Looks like I could actually afford a new vehicle if I wanted it. I’d still have to roll about $4,000 over but it’s possible. I’ve bounced the idea off of more than a few people and I get mixed responses. There is something about the year 2020 that excites me and I am not quite sure what it is. Maybe it’s the year I will die or the year that I will win a million dollars or the year I will meet the love of my life. Who knows. Anyway, unless there is some really attractive too good to pass up offer I think I am going to wait so that I can get a 2020 year model.
Worked in a small nap then the phone got in the way again and I had to get up. Plus Gator demanding lunch. Fed them, checked on the phone and it was nothing. Then cleaned out the kids water fountain and changed the filter. Laundry of course was going and I got my jewelry cleaned. Finished off the last two slices of cheesecake from last week. I got another sampler to go through for this week. Cleaned the house and sweet lord I got enough fur up to nit a sweater for a small cat. I am wondering if the amount of fur I get will ever diminish and I suppose the answer to that will be yes, but not until the cats are gone. So if that’s the case I am fine with the fur. My cats are what motivate me and take away the madness of the world. In fact, Ms. Momma and I walked around outside this morning. I had her on my shoulder and she was just loving it, taking in the sights and sounds. We started in the back yard and then worked our way to the front and side of the house. At one point she wanted down, I think the adventures of us walking came back to her. However, she wasn’t in a harness and not on a leash so that didn’t happen. Instead I opted to return indoors where I could put her down safely. I often wonder when I do things like that if that is how she was turned out of whatever home she had prior to me finding her. She was probably kicked out because she got pregnant but who ever did that really lost out. She’s a great cat and her kids are all equally as great. I’d still like to meet her mom and dad but I know that will never happen. I’d also be interested to see how her siblings turned out but there are somethings in this life that we never know.
Ah well I am blathering. On to finish up the laundry, shave and have corn dogs for supper. I saw them at the store and thought that is different and I just opened a fresh container of mustard so it should pair well. Feed the children, play on the computer and get ready for Monday. Oh what fun I will be having. This will be a busy week but that only means it will go by fast. The best thing about Monday means I won’t be on call and I’m all for that. I was officially bothered 3 times total for the week which in the grand scheme of things isn’t bad.
