Hello again! As you can tell by the title I didn’t get a lot of sleep last night. I went to bed at my normal schedule, which is unusual for the weekend. However, I was tired and done with technology. Just watch some TV and call it a day. Around 10:30p I crawled in bed. Curled up with Gator and Momma at my feet. I opened my eyes at 2a after feeling something jump in my bed and quickly jump out. That would be momma and soon after the smell wafted over and I knew it was time to get out of bed. I thought she crapped in bed but nope, she went just outside and got my sweatpants. To say I was not happy is an understatement. I crabbed at her and cleaned it up. Then grabbed a couple pieces of candy and a diet soda. Back to my room.
I checked my phone to see if there were any additional photos from the class reunion and there were. Also found a couple live videos and that helped me know I made the right decision to skip. It was a bunch of drunk people. That’s not my crowd at all. I got a photo of everyone who attended and had to zoom in to make out some faces. I didn’t really miss talking with anyone special. Then I thought, how in the world will I ever get back to sleep? Easy I turned on a security podcast. The guy that talks has a difficult time making his point and often goes into tangents and that puts me straight to sleep. Sure enough an hour later between the sugar wearing off and the podcaster I was ready to go back to bed.
I was up at 8a and went through with my normal Sunday routine. Had breakfast and the regular crowd there made me feel right at home. I got to throw in some sass and that made it all the more better. I’m quite the smartass and can often come up with a quip quickly. It’s not always appropriate but once I settle on something, most of the time I say it.
Went on to the grocery store where I managed to get out for under $100 a second week in a row. I didn’t get any type of cake or ice cream, which helped. Still it was $86 and I found that a little much. I even skipped the frozen pizza because I had one from the week before. I am thankful that I have a job and can afford the basics and then being able to treat myself. However, I think food prices are a bit on the high side, but that’s just my opinion.
I went through the car wash because the forecast specifically said no rain for the next 5 days. Just my luck I was checking the weather this afternoon and rain is in the forecast for later this evening and most of tomorrow morning. So much for a clean vehicle. It looks like in the garage but I can’t keep it there forever. There used to be a car wash that had a rain guarantee, if it rained within 48 hours of your wash, you could come back and get a re-wash for free. You just needed your receipt. I worked close to the place and now I am no where near it. Their washes were expensive but they did a damn good job.
Finished up laundry, played on the computer and then went up to watch some TV and wound up taking a nap with Gator. True to form I told her let me sleep for an hour and then wake me up. She did her job, 5 minutes early but hey it was close enough for me.
I got up and put out my medicine for the next 2 weeks, that is always a chore I hate. Especially when you start working with tiny white pills. They all look alike and the counting is the worst part. Then it was time to clean the house. I got me some Gatorade and surfed through social media. Just relaxed next to Marv, who held my hand and arm hostage for a while. Then he went to sleep and I just sat and watch him. It was so enjoyable. I wasn’t on my phone or watching TV just Marvin watching and Momma was over on the love seat snoozing away as well. I had about an hour to pass and once it was done I placed Marvin on the floor so I could start the other 1/2 of my Sunday tasks. That involved shaving and taking a shower. No sooner than I shut the water off, everyone is yapping for supper.
I took my time and got dried off and dressed, then made my way to the kitchen to pass out their food Marv hated what I gave him. He wouldn’t eat it and started crying and eventually ran to the living room. I went after him and brought the food to him but he wanted nothing to do with it. I told him I would get something else and he waited on me to come back. That I did and he started eating 1, 2, 3. Jeez these cats are so spoiled, but I wouldn’t have it any other way.
Then I put my frozen pizza in the oven and set the timer. Watched a little TV and then timed it close and was able to eat and enjoy the 2 pieces I had. There are 2 more left and I could eat them but then I wouldn’t be able to enjoy them tomorrow night. I did finish off the last 2 pieces of cheese cake and they were enjoyable. Tomorrow night I will be wishing I had that cheesecake but I had to make room in the fridge. Here I am back at the computer for a little bit. Soon that will be done and I will be upstairs and preparing for tomorrow. We still have yet to talk about who is doing what since stupid left on Friday. There was another event that prohibited that from happening. We dealt with some advanced malware and it was really involved to get it cleaned up. In the end we opted to pull the machine from the network so it will won’t go back on until the hard drive is formatted. Oddly enough the machine did turn up clean and I feel fairly confident that it probably is clean but the best solution is to format and start over, rather than taking a risk. For all I know something is dormant on the machine. If the user would have had admin rights to the workstation I know things would have been far worse. Thankfully that wasn’t the case. Best thing to happen this week is payday and that will be closer to the end of the week. Mid-week I will be paying bills on money that I will soon have. It will be here one day and gone the next. Thus the perpetual need to keep on working. So there you have it my Sunday, fun day. I am way ahead of my normal schedule which will give me additional time with the kids and we will all enjoy that. Plus Marv will be reminding me when it’s time for treats. Back to the fun. I hope you had a great day! I will talk with you all again soon. Be well.
