Boring Day

Hey … Not that I am complaining but it’s been a boring day and those days always seem so much longer than an average day should be.  However, I was permitted to take a short nap and got lunch.  Things started to pile up while I was at lunch and I came back early.  Just got everything under control and then went on my daily surfing quest. 

Made a frozen pizza last night for supper.  The cats were underneath my feet and I had to shoo them away.  Last thing I want to do is injure one of them or myself while doing something simple like cooking dinner.  I sat with Mora on my lap and that 20 minutes it took to bake the house started to smell so good.  I was hopeful that the pizza would be awesome.  However, it was not nearly as good as it smelled.  I’ve got left overs and that’s tonight supper I think. 

Got in lots of cuddle time with Rudy today.  He came over and slept on my chest/lap like his sister does at lunch time.  That was a first.  Normally he climbs in my lap and then goes to sleep.  Something about watching a cat sleep is something I really enjoy.  I heard him breathing but when I put my finger in front of his nose I couldn’t feel a thing.  That was odd but I didn’t want to disturb him.  He woke up a short time later to do more bathing and readjust himself.  Sadly that’s when I needed to get back to work. 

It’s a cold rainy day here.  What’s left of the snow from earlier in the month that hasn’t melted is getting washed away.  Still need to get the vehicle washed.  It’s just been too cold for me to even consider that.  Now that we have thawed out a bit and temps are warmer I am thinking of getting this done over the weekend.  I had a poor experience years ago when it was cold and I drove through the car wash the windshield cracked, started small and then spread by the time I was out of the wash.  Ever since that I don’t go to car washes when it’s below freezing out.  Had a rental car that I turned the defrost on and the heat caused a small crack to spread.  Unless it’s necessary I don’t use defrost.  Besides that heat rises so I turn it on the floor and let it work it’s way up, that’s a trick from my late spouse.  Still serves me well to this day. 

Got to round up the trash and get the barrel out to the curb.  Then later tonight get a shower before bed.  Hoping that nothing gets in the way of my massage which is scheduled for tomorrow evening.  My poor back needs the work and I am looking forward to feeling some hot rocks working on the knots.  It will take up the bulk of the evening and I am okay with that.  Typically, Friday nights are calm regardless if I am on-call or not.  Fingers crossed for a good experience.
