Welcome! Not sure why but I woke up at 5a and couldn’t go back to sleep. I just threw in the towel and got up and started moving. The cats were all too happy to eat breakfast at that hour but I am sure they are missing their lunch. By the time I got ready it was 6:30a which is about the time that I would have wanted to leave if I had gotten up at 6a. I headed out into the very cold and dark morning.
The commute wasn’t a problem but the usual way in had some roadway changes since I last traveled the route. I thought I was going to have a close call with a semi as it looked like the lane was shifting and ending. However, I had plenty of room and all worked out fine. Just got my heart racing for nothing. I also hit the gas and that turbo kicked in quickly. Got great parking.
Once I arrived and made my way in I saw the card waiting for me to sign. Begrudgingly I signed it but didn’t put in any long paragraphs like everyone else did. It’s on it’s way and I am done. I just imagined that if I didn’t sign it and word got back to my boss that something that petty would show up on my review that I wasn’t a team player. I just don’t care for this particular co-worker.
After that was done I got logged in and took care of morning tasks. Next thing you know I have been filing email and cleaning up my email. Not exactly sure why but every once and a while I get kicks to get organized. If I didn’t do that I wouldn’t have anything to do and I don’t want to sit here and do absolutely nothing.
I am surprised that my energy level has kept up and I am not tired but I know that will be coming, it will probably hit tonight after I am home. Shame but I have more work to do after hours. I’ve got it all planned out so it should be quick and simple, fingers crossed.
Checked on the cats and they are in my bed, as per usual. I turned the furnace up before I left so they would stay toasty warm all day long. I am eager to see their faces and hear them welcome me home. I know they will be hungry.
Got a message yesterday that my massage for Friday is cancelled and I wasn’t happy about that but the good news is that I was able to get it moved to Thursday so I won’t be missing out. I really need it given the time I spend in front of these screens and the snow removal. I am all knotted up and looking forward to having most of that worked out when I get on the table tomorrow night.
Looking forward to a 3 day weekend. I booked a haircut for Saturday, let’s hope that the barber isn’t still sick. I just hate being out with all of the viruses in circulation. Last thing I want is to contract something else. I need to stay well and able to work.
As for my cyst it’s still there. It shrunk in size from when it first showed up but it’s starting to bother me more. I’ve got urgent care as an option but I hate to walk in there because that will be germ central. I also wonder if they will actually try to drain it with a needle or just send me on my way and tell me to use warm compresses. I am trying to be patient but the more it hurts and bothers me the more I lean towards getting to urgent care. This thing has never been punctured before and I know if that happens it will likely be sore. I just wish I didn’t have it or it at least would go back to being dormant like it has been for so many years. It really sucks when I hit it on something and typing all day I am sure isn’t good for it. Neither is trying to hold Mora when she wants to cuddle when I am watching TV in the evening.
Well back to the fun for a couple more hours and then I will be on the road home. I hope your having a good day and that you enjoy the Man Candy I posted.
