Good Morning, hope it’s a great day!
Yesterday just after I put my coat on and was ready to head out my cell phone rang and of course it was the boss. He called me the last time I was in the office and about to head out. I hope this doesn’t become a regular thing. Just like last time it was a quick question and the call lasted for two minutes and we were done.
I headed out and traffic was aggressive and I was clamoring for heat. It was on but it wasn’t until I got on the freeway that my ass was on fire. My seat warmer does a great job once it warms up. Each winter I wish for the same thing, a heated steering wheel that is the only feature I am missing. Had it in my lemon car and it was awesome. Once I got closer to home I had to fight school bus traffic. After that it was smooth sailing. Once I parked I noticed that it was getting foggy out. A short time later I got a dense fog advisory on my phone. Good to know my eyes aren’t deceiving me.
Came inside and said hello to the cats. Put out some food for them before I even took my coat off. I know that poor Rudy was starving. Not having lunch always makes him super hungry. Got him taken care of. Mora watched me close as I opened the front door and brought in the damn heavy bags of Water Softener Salt. Rudy could have cared less he was happy stuffing his face. I always double check and count cats after I open a door just in case. It’s an old habit and one that I will probably never grow out of.
I was able to get settled and changed clothes. I didn’t eat lunch, I had some pretzels, a soda and a snack cake. Forgot that I had brought cheese sticks. Put those and my sandwich away. Grabbed a fresh soda from the ice box (there is an old fashioned word) and sat on the couch firing up my laptop and dealing with work that happened while I was on my commute home. Just a little bit to deal with nothing crazy.
Mora wanted her cuddle time and nudged me to get off the laptop so she could occupy my lap. I gave in and she wasted no time moving right in. She was rolled over on her side in nothing flat. Got to have that belly rub. I sat with her as I found something on TV. Rudy was sleeping next to us in his bed. I found a dumb movie that I had seen before but decided to watch again. Between Mora and the movie they both occupied my attention.
It was getting to be later than I normally eat and I booted Mora and headed for the kitchen. Had 1/2 of some store made Mostaccioli and some water. Didn’t want to load up on the caffeine since I was at my 2 soda limit. Had some cheesecake for desert. Then back to the couch and Mora. I was really surprised I was fully of energy that just wouldn’t quit. The movie was done, I turned the TV off. Mora was resting.
I looked through social media, saw the usual number of hot guys and porn. Then opted to continue a story I was working on. That took up the rest of the night until it was time for bed. I was still very full of energy which is typically not the case when I am up at 6a and go in the office.
I got ready for bed and scrambled to find something to watch. Found a couple of You Tube videos that were of interest. Then it was back to scrambling. I found myself dozing and waking up. That’s when I called it. I climbed into bed with the cats that I had to move to make room for me. They looked at me like you moved me, who do you think you are. I didn’t pay much attention to that. Just climbed on in and fired up an I Love Lucy episode, damn if it was the same one I watched the night before. That did the trick I was out pretty fast.
Had some great dreams about driving an exotic car and was with friends. As fast as that dream started it was over. The I woke up. Found my self exposed and went to cover up and woke the Rudy. He started with his wake up biscuits routine. I looked at the clock and it was a half hour before I needed to get up. I tried to wait it out but he was tap dancing on my bladder and then came his sister. Before she got a chance to do the same thing I opted to get up. That appeased both of them. We got the day started.
I’ve got one hour long meeting that is actually a combination of a meeting we were going to have yesterday that got moved to today and then our regular mid week meeting. After that unless something comes rolling in I should be free. There always seems to be something that happens to occupy free time and it’s okay I would rather be occupied than super bored or on fire busy. Yesterday I cleaned up my email box, it’s well organized but I hang on to stuff before I file it away into the archives. Some things I hang on to longer than I need to.
Now I am off to find some eye candy for your viewing pleasure that I will post a bit later. I know that’s the reason why a lot of you stop by. Perfectly okay. They say sex sells and there is a lot of truth in that. Hope that things are warming up in your neck of the woods and that it is a great day. Talk with you peeps later.
