The New Guy

Morning,

Yesterday was mostly uneventful.  I was able to wrap things up quickly yesterday morning and head upstairs.  The cats were happy about that because it means they get to hang around me and bother me at will. 

I was headed to the bedroom for a nap when the boss sent one of his famous dumb emails asking me to check into something that had already been worked out.  Got that sorted and then it was rapid fire with other things hitting me. 

Finally I was able to go lay down and stretch out.  Man that felt so good.  Nothing like when you first climb into bed, at least for me.  Guess I’m just getting old. 

Watched TV and the cats joined me.  Had my electronic leash (phone) nearby in case I was summoned.  Eventually it went off and I had to get up but it was close enough to cat lunch time that it worked out well.  They got food and I got to deal with work. 

Had my lunch of 2 hot dogs with 2 bread & butter pickles on Sourdough with a little bit of Ketchup.  It was good.  Rudy looked at me as if to say Cheetos would pair nicely with that.  Yeah I know he just wanted Cheetos but it didn’t work out for him. 

Returned to the living room to watch TV and the computer for work stuff.  Thankfully I was only bothered a few more times.  When it came time to quit for the day I not only turned off the computer but the phone too.  Needed to just escape for a bit.  Fired the phone back up after 10 minutes.  There was work stuff there but I ignored it and it felt good. 

Today I’m sure will be a smoke show since the new guy will be joining one of our regular meetings.  Yeah I should be in the office so I could turn my camera on but I’m staying home.  I’ve already peeked and see that the mistake maker is working from home today as well, so it’s not like I am alone.  As long as they can hear my voice they don’t need to see my face.  We worked years on conference calls and there was no video, shame we can’t go back to those days but Zoom & the pandemic changed all of that.  Kind of wish I was the guy who was behind Zoom I wouldn’t need to work ever again.  At any rate I’m not looking forward to having the new guy join our meetings early.  I’ve done some prep work for his arrival.  There is more for me to do and I will get to it eventually but I think I’m done with trying to plan ahead. 

Yesterday was a nice Spring day but today were headed back to summer.  It was freezing this morning but by the end of the day I will probably be flipping the flipping AC back on for the rest of the week.  I will be glad when things finally even out and we get a normal temperature instead of all of these extreme swings but that day probably won’t happen until June 1 at the rate things are going.  My allergies are a flurry this morning but thankfully things seem to be settling down. 

Off to scour the internet for pleasure and eventually back to work.  I’ve got several hours to burn before this dumb meeting.  Joy!  Hope you have a great day!

Here we go again … Monday

Morning!

Had my Mexican food yesterday, it was really good.  Took a little longer than normal to get my order once I placed it.  They tried to give me Steak Burritos but I didn’t order that, it looked good though.  Got interrupted by work while I was eating.  Just an email and a quick response back and I was done.  I like those kind of interruptions if I must be bothered.  That was the only on-call thing that came up which is really good.  Made for a nice quiet weekend. 

We had a kitty show up last night on the front porch.  I saw it and got up to go greet it but it took off, never saw me.  It looked young and I hope it found its way back home and is safe.  With that a couple of other cats that frequent my home/the neighborhood have shown up as well.  I still have Raccoons, at least one that shows up not every day but often. 

Mowers are here now cutting the grass.  Now my lawn will blend with the neighbors.  Everyone cut there grass this weekend.  I looked like the odd man out.  All the rain we are getting sure makes everything grow like crazy. 

Had a nice night wrapping up laundry, watching YouTube Videos and Rudy curled up with me on the couch.  Mora was asleep in the basement.  Eventually she woke up and joined us.  Then I was able to close up the basement. 

Got my shave & shower in the clean bathroom.  I didn’t really want Rudy licking the tub but he insisted so I let him.  Crazy how he likes bathwater.  I tried to watch him close but he doesn’t like that and I got more than one dirty look from him.  As if I didn’t know what he was up to. 

The night went by way too fast but it was enjoyable.  I’m watching All In The Family on Amazon Prime.  I’ve seen some episodes from YouTube and when they come on I just skip them.  It’s interesting and I’ve got plenty of shows left to watch.  There is no intro skip button so I just fast forward through that.  I can hear the opening once or twice but after that it grates on my last nerve.  I like the closing theme which is just music, but there are actually different words to the closing theme it’s a separate song.  Carol O’Connor preformed it on YouTube which is the only reason why I know that.  Life sure was different back when that show was on the air. 

It’s Administrative Professionals Week at work.  We get some pomp and circumstance as staff.  Free breakfast tomorrow and a gift on Wednesday.  I am thinking of going in for it but probably won’t.  Instead I will make the trip on Saturday to find out what the surprise is.  It’s usually nothing that special.  We get a lot of thanks for doing our jobs which is lovely but I’d rather have more money than this little charade and celebration.  I can pay bills with money not with breakfast and a gift.  Next big thing to happen will be our reviews, which will take place next month.  Oh Joy!

Things are calm at the moment.  We had some things pile up but between me and the mistake maker we knocked them out.  I worked on some prep for the new guy.  Taking it slow not only because it’s boring but so I don’t miss anything.  The interns will be starting and he will be learning all at the same time, it’s going to be a cluster.  I kind of wish that he would have started a bit later next month but I’m sure we will manage somehow. 

Hoping for a mostly calm week with meetings that are short and to the point.  I know it’s an impossible ask but hey I can still hold out some hope, there is no harm in that.  I wish you all the best for the week ahead and hope that something wonderful happens for all of us  Take care!

Disgusting

Happy Sunday!

I hope that all is well in your world.  Yesterday afternoon I made it to Red Lobster.  Service sucked and not in a good way.  Took several minutes to be waited on when I walked in the door, almost walked out.  Got seated and then about the time I was ready to walk out a busser came over and took my drink order.  He said that my waitress was “very busy” and would be with me shortly.  She was at the bar ringing up something and told him to take care of me.  Meanwhile she was all over the place.  She could have taken a quick minute to stop by.  Eventually she came over and I told her what I wanted.  She said that biscuits would be right up as soon as they come out of the oven.  Don’t you know the biscuits and my food came out at the same time.  Biscuits were so small it looked like a child made them.  The taste was there.  I left her a very small tip since she gave me such small service.  The tip I wanted to leave was move your ass but I was nice.  I wished I had gone to the Red Lobster in my hometown it would have been a better experience.  However, there was construction going on and I purposely stayed away.  I’m headed back there today for Mexican food since construction is all done. 

Returned home to wrap up laundry and play on the computer.  Got caught up in a Tumblr poster who had a ton of guys in jocks.  You will be seeing them in future man candy posts.  They look so hot but I honestly don’t know how one wears a jock all day long.  I’ve done it and it was a turn on the first time but after that it just feels weird. 

Reluctantly I turned the furnace on, it was seriously chilly in here and I knew that it would drop even lower over night.  Got the bed made and laundry put away.  Had to play with Rudy.  He loves the clothes basket.  He sticks his paws in the openings trying to bat at me.  Then I stick my fingers out and he swipes at them or chomps on them.  It’s a fun time and we do it damn near every time the basket is full of clean clothes.  He’s still got a lot of kitten in him and so does his sister. 

Woke up way earlier than I wanted to but I got moving and got my usual morning greeting from Rudy.  Headed to pass out breakfast for them.  Then on to get dressed and grab my meds, headed out the door with the winter coat on.  It was 40 here this morning.  Grabbed breakfast, hit up the grocery store next and then stopped at Target.  Finally stopped to top off the tank, 6 gallons of gas $23.23.  That was close to a half of a tank.  I still had 230 miles left to drive but I’m particular about keeping a full tank.  You just never know where life will take you. 

I was overheating by the time I got home.  The sun was out and warming things up and all of the movement I was doing got my body heated.  I was never so happy to get home and get out of my clothes.  Got everything put away and then time for rest.  Then the sugar coma from breakfast wore off so I had my couple hour nap. 

Got the house cleaning done.  Worked on the bathroom.  I found this old can of cleaner, you spray it when it’s done it’s supposed to turn purple and then you rinse it away.  I sprayed the tub and sink and it turned pink.  We have always had “pink scum” but I never knew what it was.  Turns out it’s a bacteria called Serratia marcescens and poses a health risk if you have a compromised immune system.  It thrives on Soap & Water, sounds rather odd to me you’d think soap would kill bacteria and not cause it to grow.  It’s disgusting.  I saw a YouTube video on it a while back they said to use Hydrogen Peroxide to kill it.  Anyway I rinsed it all away and things look nice and clean.  I went over everything with another cleaner just to be on the safe side. 

Then it was time to head outside.  I had a branch of Poison something ivy, sumac who knows.  Anyway it was growing and flopping in the wind so it set off the garage camera when it was windy.  Last night I kept getting alerts and it woke the cats up.  They know the sounds each camera makes and it will bring them out of a serious sleep in seconds.  Funny thing is my new mail alert used to do that when they were new here, they weren’t used to a phone chiming.  Now they can sleep right on through new mail or a text tone.  Anything else wakes them.  I put on some gloves and chopped that branch and another one that was growing up against the garage.  Picked them up and threw them in the trash using tools only but I had rubber gloves on just in case for extra protection.  I know I shouldn’t put that in the trash can but it’s not like they inspect the can when they empty it, they just dump it and move on.  It looks better.  Had to change the battery in the garage camera as well. 

Now it’s wash time again.  Tub mat, then the bathmat and whites.  The water company will love me.  I will love the clean items and knowing that task is out of the way. 

Looking forward to a nice drive and some good Mexican food.  That’s about it, then it will be home and watching TV until it’s time for bed.  Not looking forward to the week ahead but at least I won’t officially be on call come Monday.  It’s the bosses turn so I’m sort of on call unofficially during the day.  That’s going to be the only plus to having a new person eventually they will take over his week and I will get two weeks of rest.  Things will be heating up at work with the summer interns and the new guy starting soon.  It’s going to be chaos for a while so I’m savoring all of the lulls I get. 

Well sounds like it’s time to go load the washer up again.  Both cats just passed out down here and I know as soon as I get up one or both of them will notice and pop up and start following me.  I wish they would stay asleep and not worry about me.  I will be fine no one is going to attack me and besides that I’m coming right back.

Temperature Drop

Howdy!

The temperature has dropped here and were in the 50’s.  Plenty of Watches & Warnings yesterday afternoon into the night but we just got some rain out of it.  I tried to stay awake until 11p which is when all of the Watches & Warnings expired but I didn’t make it.  My weekend insomnia kicked in at 2a and I knew that today wasn’t going to be as great of a day as I wanted it to be. 

Woke up with plenty of time to spare, had breakfast at home but of course the cats got fed first.  Showered and dressed, then waited a few minutes before I had to leave.  It was just enough time to get Mora in my lap and enjoy her company for a short bit. 

I came back home after my haircut I wanted to go back to bed and that’s exactly what I did.  Got back to sleep for a bit.  Rudy woke me for lunch and I really didn’t want to get up so I fed him and then went back to bed.  I watched TV and continued to dose off. 

I got up and then Rudy had his second lunch after I ate.  I just had a Diet Coke and Cheetos.  He loves cheese anything.  I let him lick my fingers and he tries gnawing on them like they are Cheetos but they don’t crunch like one.  I think I could feed him a Cheeto and he would eat it.  I was able to enjoy a Granola Bar after washing my hands from Rudy’s slobber.  Then lunch was done. 

Grabbed up my 2 weeks worth of laundry and here I am in the basement.  Space heater on, Mora passed out in one of the chairs behind me guarding me from whatever.  Rudy is upstairs snoozing and waiting for us.  The two of them had some play time for a bit before she came down to be with me. 

Planning on heading out to Red Lobster for supper.  I did find a new place to go to it’s a Mom & Pop kind of place but it’s 53 miles away (that’s one way) and it’s on my list of places to visit.  Found it from a group I am in on social media about restaurants in the area.  Like how I found out about the buffet place.  I meant to hit up the ATM to get some cash but that didn’t happen.  It’s been on my to do list for a couple weeks.  If I am going to a Mom & Pop place I make sure to have cash because some of them don’t take credit cards and it would really suck to travel all that way to find out I can’t eat there because I don’t have cash. 

Tomorrow’s I am planning on going back to my favorite Mexican place.  So a normal weekend for me. 

Really surprised that out of the 3 folks that came to my house none of them have called back with a price on this column or roof brace.  I called one guy and left a message on Thursday.  He’s the one I want to do the work out of all of them but I need a price.  I will probably call him back on Monday.  I had to call him twice just to get the quote.  I am not one to chase after people or beg someone to take my money.  I get that this will be a pain to change out but the work needs to be done, the sooner the better.  However, it’s not like this column is going to disintegrate overnight.  I’m just looking to avoid disaster before it gives way and becomes an emergency.  Damn near every house in the neighborhood has one of these things, one of my neighbors actually has two of them but they are smaller.  One neighbor had his made out of all brick, that’s smart no maintenance or replacement work to do there.  

Looking forward to a nice trip in a few hours and some fish.  Then finding something good to watch on TV as I pass the night away.  Hope your having a great Saturday.  Take care.

Nothing much going on here.  Had a summer like day yesterday and the AC worked a bit.  Put the trash out and let a Stink Bug in.  Mora was all over it letting me know we had an unwelcome visitor.  I killed it by sticking it down the drain and turning on the garbage disposal.  Had to use a butter knife for assistance and the knife fell in while the disposal was on.  That wasn’t a pleasant sound and I got the disposal turned off quickly!  Bug gone & crisis averted.  Yesterday was great, today is shaping up to be the same but tonight more severe weather will roll in and maybe there will be some hail enough to get me a new roof but based on what I have heard it’s just going to be lots of wind and rain with a very low Tornado risk.  Which is not a zero risk but the chances of one happening is very minimal.  I worked in a nice nap just before lunch and my phone permitted it – wow! It felt so good. 

Mora remains on bug watch and Rudy is helping.  Woke up this morning to find fur in the bed.  Rudy is scratching hard and pulling out his hair.  Not sure what that is all about, maybe it just felt that good to scratch.  You know that itch that just feels so good.  We all get them from time to time.  It wasn’t but a couple tufts but I’ll keep an eye on him just the same.  Mora’s got her pigment changes around her ears that I am watching.  These two are just like all of my other cats, they have something or do something that just inflicts endless worry on me.  Most probably it’s nothing but still I’m gun shy and it doesn’t take much for me to worry. 

Speaking of worry, the boss invited the new guy who doesn’t start for close to 2 weeks to our team meetings starting next week.  I’m sure it’s just to get him familiar with things but it’s rather odd.  I wasn’t looped in early when I started on the team.  I’m just hyperaware and hypersensitive.  Probably because I am breaking the rules and working from home.  I’m sure the boss will start asking us to turn our cameras on and if that happens I will need to get back to the office but for now I plan on business as usual.  No one is complaining and I for one am not going to let the cat out of the bag, so to speak. 

Had the strangest dream.  I was at a new restaurant eating, eggs so I suppose it was for breakfast.  I asked for a refill on my Diet Soda and the waitress refused saying that stuff is so bad for you that she limits people to just one.  Then we got into a verbal disagreement, some how I told her I was gay and next thing you know I was calling the cops because she was holding me hostage, refusing to give me my credit card back and ring up my check.  Hell, everything and anything is bad for you and no one gets of out of this life alive.  Might as well eat and drink as much as you can afford to. 

Things are all caught up at work and I am in a holding pattern watching and waiting for something to pop.  Kind of boring here in the basement but it feels good at 72 degrees right now.  I need to bring in the trash can and just like putting it out, both are tasks I do not enjoy.  My body woke me up early so I got to hear the banging of the cans.  Rudy was quite pleased and stopped his grooming to start making biscuits and giving me attention as well as a couple licks on my face.  He even summoned his sister to come make me get out of bed.  My bladder was the real culprit if I could have held it a bit longer I would have just laid there a bit longer.  It helped me get an early start and knock out several tasks that I put off until this morning. 

Well off to watch court, it’s Landlord Tennant Day my favorite.  Figure out what to have for lunch and supper, drag the trash can in and take care of any fires that crop up at work.  Then the day will be done but not quite as quick as you read this. 

Tomorrow is haircut day, it’s booked early and I will hate myself for doing that but I’m an early bird.  It might just keep me out of the house for a while depending on how much sleep I get and how I feel.  No real plans per se, just the usual errand running and dining out.  Hope you have a nice weekend and an awesome Friday.  Take care!

Morning

I couldn’t think of a title so decided to use some humor.  Happy Friday Eve aka Thursday. 

We had our share of rain yesterday, it turned to severe weather just as I had settled down for the evening.  I wanted to watch Night Court the newest season on Netflix.  I’ve made it through Seasons 1 and 2 and am working on the final season (3) now.  Instead I watched Weather on local TV.  It kept me busy flipping channels for an hour until I realized that there wasn’t a Tornado headed for my area.  We still got high winds and rain.  Then I went back to Netflix but honestly don’t remember much.  For some reason Night Court has always had a soothing effect on me and causes me to just fade out quickly. 

Work was a bit frustrating yesterday.  I knew there was work headed for me aka my team.  However, there wasn’t anything I could do about it just had to wait for it to come up.  I used to be able to intercept things but was asked to back off so some new folks could get some training.  I waited and waited but nothing.  Then just as I finished supper I was hit with work.  Then something else urgent cropped up and I had to deal with it.  Then more work.  I didn’t stop working until close to 6:30p, which is quite a late day for me.  I could have let stuff sit but it would have just meant a busy morning – either way I was going to have work to do so might as well knock it out and be done with it.  After I logged off one of the techs hit me up with a couple questions and I answered him back, then I was finally done for the night.

Caught up on social media, watched some porn clips and looked at thirst traps.  Enough to help keep myself horny and then casually went back to watching YouTube videos and put the phone down. 

Done with meetings or so it appears.  One meeting got cancelled yesterday and the boss got on a tangent talking in the meeting we did have.  He asked me how the weather was at home, guess he knew I was working from home, which doesn’t bother me as long as that doesn’t turn into an unpleasant surprise for me.  Anyway, he was yammering on so much that we skipped a monthly task that we normally do, which no one spoke up and we just ended the call.  Yippie.

Who knows what today has in store for me.  I am ready for a nap.  Been a while since I had one and it sounds so damn good and tempting.  It would be even better if the cats would curl up next to me that would cause me to melt and fade off quickly.  Of course the phone would most likely wake me and I would be crabby then, so maybe it’s just better to fight and stay awake.

Man Candy Time

U.S. Tax Day

Morning!

Today is the deadline for filing your Income Taxes if you live in the U.S.  Most people dislike this day just because it is a costly day and time to part with some money.  I file early and so this day is meaningless for me just another day.  The earlier you file the less your chances of identity theft.  Trust me when I tell you that if a scammer files a tax return in your name it’s a slight nightmare and it takes a very long time to get things sorted and if your due a refund that will be longer you have to wait for your money.  Speaking of waiting for money I am waiting for a state refund only because I was told I had to mail my return in due to “special circumstances”.  Nothing changed, I do the same thing each year.  The only thing that changes is my income when I get a pay raise or bonus – otherwise it’s all the same.  Not like I make six figures unless you count all of those leading zeros.

I got things under control and caught up at work, now it’s hum drum boring but I am fine with that.  I’m ready to call it a week.  Woke up with a sore throat which I am sure was from the AC running over night and blowing on me.  My sinuses are running a bit but hopefully things remain under control.  I am a bit drowsy but it’s still early.  Who knows what today will bring other than two more dumb meetings. 

Busy season will be around the corner we will have summer interns starting and a new guy on our team so this is for sure the calm before the storm.  Might as well enjoy it while it lasts and soak it all in, savor it because it will be busy for a while.  I don’t look forward to it but I suppose it will be good to keep my mind sharp or something like that. 

It was a nice summer like day yesterday, the cats enjoyed basking in the sun, sleeping and eventually waking up for supper and treats.  Then as the sun set they drifted off to sleep.  I was able to make it to bed before Rudy woke up and started playing.  He wore himself out before coming to bed.  Then it was like I had a lump sleeping next to me.  Of course I woke up in the middle of the night.  He woke up early and begged me to get up.  I gave in a half hour early.  No sense in tossing and turning trying to go back to sleep when all I will do is wear myself out and get frustrated.  I did make it all day yesterday without a nap.  Right now I’m not so sure that will be the case today. 

Finished off the pizza last night, glad it is gone.  Watched a couple episodes last night of Queer As Folk (the US version).  I’ve seen it several times and own the entire series on DVD in a box set.  Watched every episode as it aired each week with my late spouse.  That was the highlight of our week.  I was younger and it didn’t take much in the way of their man on man sex scenes to get me all worked up.  Those were the good old days. 

Speaking of my late spouse.  Mora was in my lap as I was watching TV and I got Rudy to jump on the couch.  She jumped up as if she was mad but she saw something.  It was a Cardinal peeking in the window.  They say that when a Cardinal visits you it’s a sign that your lost loved one is with you.  I told her there she was chasing away my guy.  She didn’t see it that way.  Daddy it’s a bird, I’m a cat and we love birds.  Yeah I know.  It was nice in the brief moment it lasted. 

I have been hearing lawn mowers running each day at different times.  The mowing services as well as individuals are all out cutting.  I think every lawn around me has been cut at least once but most have been cut multiple times.  My one neighbor fired up his mower last week and cut his grass.  It’s so tall it’s ready for round two but that probably won’t happen for a couple more weeks until it looks like an overgrown field. 

I think that it’s going to be a long and very hot summer, just based on the early Spring that is seeming to skip Spring and thrust us into Summer. 

Well ho hum guess I will surf the internet and keep a watch on things at work.  Eventually I will head upstairs and spend time with the cats.  I’m trying to stay down here in the mornings and spend the afternoon upstairs.  It doesn’t always work out like that.

Back at it

Hi and welcome in. 

Saturday I wound up staying in all day, I wanted to get out but it just sounded better to me to loaf.  Sunday I had to do some hustling but I got all of my tasks accomplished.  Went out for Pizza only because my little voice said it would be a good idea.  Turns out the straight waiter was just getting off shift when I walked in.  I got to spend a little bit of time looking at him as he cashed out his drawer.  I just eyed him up and down and wow he was way better than the pizza.  He did use the bathroom for a second and I had a wild fantasy run through my head.  I’m really not into bathroom sex but that’s what I was thinking about.  I just stayed seated.  That was for the best. 

Knowing that I would probably have some problems getting a good nights sleep I took a half of a Unisom in addition to my regular sleeping medicine.  That caused me to be super hung over in the morning and I didn’t want to do a damn thing.  I wound up taking the day off and going back to bed to sleep it off.  Wow I never expected that to happen. 

I know that I could have milked the system for another day but just opted to return today.  There was plenty to do when I got logged in. Yesterday was a bit of a mess because the mistake maker was also out.  That left the boss having to do our jobs and his job.  Kind of giving him a new appreciation of all of the crap we deal with.  Things weren’t in too much of a shambles but I did have some clean up work to do.  Between the humidity and the cats my body woke me up super early.  Come 6:30a I just rolled out of bed and decided that it was probably a good thing to get an early start. 

The cats are upstairs crying.  They have been fighting a bit over the weekend, this was a serious fight that I had to break up.  They were each out for blood.  Thankfully no blood was shed. 

We did have 2 stink bugs to deal with yesterday evening and Mora alerted me to both of them.  They each got water burials as I flushed them down the toilet.  Damn things seem to enter in pairs.  The cats were both on bug watch for the rest of the night, they are very good at protecting their home and alerting me to when something is off. 

I watched and cleaned a bunch of old shows off the DVR it was kind of fun.  Watching DMV and 9-1-1 episodes were seriously backlogged.  There were some other things that I knew I’d never watch so I just deleted them to make room. 

It’s summer time hot here for a few days and the AC has been working.  It’s supposed to cool down towards the weekend.  We have showers in the forecast for this week as well.  Another wild and crazy weather week. 

I am on-call at work so really not looking forward to this week at all but it’s one of those events that I will be glad when it’s done.  This week and next week, then at the end of the following week we will have our new guy starting and that will be a time suck.  Not looking forward to it but I’m sure it will be fine.  Just not enthusiastic about teaching another person my job. 

Meanwhile lots of browsing for me to catch up on.  Still waiting to hear back from contractors about the column/roof brace.  I am going to call at least one of them as a reminder to get a price.  I’d like to get that behind me as well.

Meh…Friday

Morning & Happy Friday!

I took an OTC Sleeping Pill with my main regular prescription sleeping pill last night.  I slept but the dream I had.  It was very interesting, I was at a Holiday Buffet in a Cracker Barrel and we had a family reunion.  All of the relatives that have been dead for years were there and it was a good time.  Some good eating.  Last thing I was going after was a large Cinnamon Roll I wanted it so damn bad.  That’s the last thing I remember before I woke up at 5a to use the bathroom. 

Returned to bed and got back to sleep, Rudy was curled up next to me.  His motor was running (meaning he was purring) and giving off heat.  I nudged him to try to get a little bit more space and as per usual that didn’t work.  He gets like glue once he hunkers down and you have to use some serious force to cause him to move.  I don’t want to hurt him or seriously disturb him and he knows that so he uses that to his advantage, smart cat!

In any event I feel so “hung over” this morning.  Never been drunk so I have no idea what it’s like to actually be hung over.  All I know is that it’s referred to as the hang over effect.  I didn’t want to do much of anything this morning.  However, for some reason my stomach was super hungry.  I had 2 bowl of Oatmeal and I regretted the second bowl with every bite but got them both down. 

Plowed through my morning tasks.  I had planned to start gathering things to train the new guy on and I didn’t want to do it yesterday when I had it scheduled.  I moved it to today and don’t feel like it so I pushed it out for a bit.  Eventually I will have to do this but it’s not going to be fun.  I also kind of dread the training process mostly because I don’t know this guy that well but I’m sure it will all come together.  I’ve thought about going back to the office and that might turn into a reality if only one day a week.  I’m going to try to keep things as they are for now but I think I’m smart enough to read the room and know if will need to head back. 

Yesterday was a long day, not much of anything going on.  Today looks to be the same.  However, I will have to cover for the mistake maker as he has an appointment this afternoon.  It’s only a little over an hour and hopefully nothing huge happens.  Bad enough that I will be on-call next week, so not looking forward to that either. 

Right now all I want to do is get back to sleep but I am fighting the feeling.  Going to head up in a bit and see if I can catch Landlord Tennant Day in my favorite Court.  I watched Criminal Proceedings yesterday they prove to mostly be boring but the judge and his sense of humor manages to bring levity to the process. 

Had to turn the AC back on it got up to 80 and it was uncomfortable enough in here that it was the right move.  Were back to more Spring like temperatures but that won’t last long.  It’s comfy upstairs but super chilly downstairs.  Eventually once the temperatures level out it will be the same climate both up and downstairs. 

Haven’t really given a whole lot of though to the weekend.  I’m sure I will spend part of it in bed but I really want to get out and see a different view.  Despite the gas prices might make a buffet trip.  Time will tell.
