Hi and welcome in. Storms weren’t too bad last night and they held off until after I went to bed. However, the weather radio did go off in the early evening to warn of the impending weather and possibility of a Tornado.
I’ve got a dual alarm clock so one alarm will wake you up with the radio and the other alarm will wake you with the alarm. It’s great for couples or if you need to wake up at different times. I never set the radio alarm so it’s defaulted to midnight. Well not sure exactly how it happened but it got set last night and woke me up at midnight. I was confused at what happened and got it turned off and managed to get back to sleep.
The next time I woke up it was 5a and a little chilly in my room. I got up to use the restroom and turned off the ceiling fan. Rudy was by my side and thought it was time to actually get up but I told him we still had a couple hours to sleep. He waited patiently by resting on top of me. It’s actually comforting to have him on top of me and thankfully he’s skinny so it’s not uncomfortable. Now if that were his sister I would be in some trouble.
Got going at normal time and came down to start the day. Morning was pretty nice and fairly quiet. Although once I managed to go nap I got woken up as per usual. Good thing that I came back downstairs instead of trying to just deal with a task from upstairs and then going back to laying down. Work started to pour in after that and I was thankful that I was able to get things taken care of quickly. Had a morning meeting that we were able to get through quickly and then moved into lunch.
I got a call from someone at work because of my reputation for getting things done. Someone apparently thought I could help this poor person out with an odd ball request. I referred them on to the proper team but they didn’t want to hear that. That got me snarled in some emails. I wound up calling my boss and he told me that he was at lunch. I said big deal so am I. I get it no one likes to be bothered on their own time but hell it happens to me more often than not. I got him off his ass and engaged. That pretty well got the issue taken care of. So we could both go back to lunch.
In our morning meeting the boss said that he would be sending us copies of our reviews. He scheduled my call for tomorrow morning. I wish that it could have been today but rules are that you have 24 hours to read over and process your review so you can talk about it during the call. I am still waiting for mine to show up. I went looking for it in a portal that we had to retrieve them from last year but it’s all locked down and a super secret. So I wait. I’m guessing he will send it at the last minute today or be all surprised tomorrow when I tell him that I never got the review. I had the same problem last year.
Mac & Cheese was supper last night and I had some cheesecake that I am working to finish. I normally don’t have issues with sweets being consumed but every once and a while it does happen. I am trying to not throw it away and get it consumed because it’s really good!
Played on the phone last night and watched TV. More Alice episodes have been added to YouTube so I am watching them. They aren’t exactly in order but it’s okay by me – free is free.
One more day in the work week for me for the month of May and then I am done. I am so eager to get started but I know that it will all go by in a flash. Thankfully I have a couple more weeks to knock out before the end of the year. Talking with my friend I found a place that has a much lower price on dumpsters so I will keep that in mind for a future week that I take off. Right now I am bleeding money. Lots of things renew this month plus with the added cost of buying a phone I don’t want to spend a ton. I already know I will be eating out a lot more in the coming week so there is more money and that will also equal greater fuel consumption. Money and time are two things that I just can’t ever get enough of.
Grass crew showed up early this afternoon because more storms are pushing into the area in the afternoon so they say. Apple weather says it’s going to be fine. Looking ahead in the weather forecast right now it’s supposed to rain on the day that I am going to have my gutters cleaned if that is still true I guess we will schedule for a different day although I hope it doesn’t rain so the work can proceed.
