Mayday

Morning we made it to the 1st of May and Friday eve!  Not a whole lot going on here.  It’s kind of hum drum.  We got sheets of rain and were under severe weather alerts in the afternoon.  The rain stopped for a bit and around 7p the grass guys showed up.  I couldn’t believe they were going to mow but they did.  They have 3 or 4 lawns total in my neck of the woods.  Knowing how much I pay them, that’s a good chunk of change so I’d probably hustle and mow too.  The lawn doesn’t look too bad this morning.  However, ever since they started my allergies have been acting up.  It didn’t help that I was watching a podcast where one of the hosts was having allergy issues as well. 

Yesterday I got my candle and wow there was a huge difference between what I saw online and what showed up in person.  I was expecting a much larger candle than what I got.  For giggles I looked it up on Amazon and it’s worth $42.  The smell is nice just wish it was larger.  I haven’t lit it yet.  It’s in the kitchen for the moment. 

Amazon monthly delivery items show up today and that’s always fun.  I wanted to order some other stuff that I need but never got around to it.  I’ll get that taken care of eventually. 

More rain today and we have computer issues going on at work.  I have zero meetings today and am hoping for a cool, calm and collective day.  I want to get the trash out when it’s dry – that’s the big goal for the day. 

I had the pasta for dinner last night.  Then some milk & cookies for desert.  For some strange reason about a half hour before it was time to wind down I got a craving for the taco chips so I had some of them with some sour cream.  They were good.  Rudy tried to get in on the act but I just petted him and told him no.

Both cats got in some play time before bed.  I was sleepy and it didn’t take terribly long before I was climbing in bed and turning the TV off.
