Happy Thursday

Morning … Hope that your having a great day!  This week has proven true that all of the strange/odd things happen when I am on-call.  It’s been quite the week thus far.  I hope that all of the strange/odd things are done with and that the remainder of the week will be less challenging and require less energy.  I am certainly ready for a break.

Had a good evening with the cats.  Rudy went out of his way to seek me out for attention multiple times.  When I passed out food I know that what I was giving him is still new and he loves it, so much that he won’t leave any for his sister.  So I opened two cans.  I fed Rudy in the kitchen and took Mora’s can to the living room.  Kind of reminded me back to when I was feeding Gator and taking food to her instead of her coming to me.  I told Mora not to get used to it until she becomes much much older.  This was a one time exception so that she didn’t get ripped off by her brother.  I was surprised that she wolfed it down.  Rudy made sure to lick the plate clean.

That made for some happy cats and they played and then dozed off.  I could hear Mora snoring and Rudy was curled up next to me with his motor on.  I could feel it since he was next to my leg. He is not a loud motor runner like his sister.  I just love listening to a cat purr I could sleep to that all night long.  It’s so soothing and relaxing.

Both of the monsters are due for a claw trimming.  They have each stuck me on accident at least once and I just dread trimming claws.  It will happen soon.  Rudy tolerates it much better than his sister, who thinks I am trying to chop off her paws.  Hey I don’t like my nails messed with either, it’s difficult for me to cut them.  You should hear both of them when they work on their back claws.  It sounds like someone eating Cheetos.  They are crunching down.  Now if they would just do that to the front claws I wouldn’t have to do nail trims.

Had a nice shower last night.  My back is still very sore from the massage I got on Sunday.  It’s mostly mid-back where she said nothing was moving.  I am starting to think it wasn’t meant to move but I know that is not the case.  My problems have always been in my upper back/shoulder area.  Mid-back has always been fine.  I know when I got back I am going to tell her to use less pressure for sure.  I like it rough but not that rough.

One meeting on the books today and it’s later in the afternoon.  I am hopeful to be able to head up and relax for a while.  Need to get the trash out and it’s colder out so that won’t be much fun.

Got some news yesterday by on-line searching that my tax issue has been resolved in my favor and now instead of owing my state a bunch of money, they owe me what my tax return stated.  They aren’t the quickest to pay up but at least I know it is coming.  Glad that this got resolved so quickly.  Taxes make me nervous.  I just wish we would be like other countries where they send you a postcard and tell you how much you owe, I think it would make life simpler at least for me and folks like me.  I know that everyone would hate to get that postcard in the mail.

I hope that it’s warm in your neck of the woods.  Just a few more weeks and we will be making the clock adjustment, that’s almost as bad as taxes.  Spring will be upon us.  That means the grass people will be back and so will the pollen.  I like the idea of warmer weather but I live for the days where there is no need to run the AC or Furnace.  Spring around here lasts for a couple weeks and then it’s straight into Hell’s front porch HOT.  I suppose it’s something to look forward to.  There are certainly more guys with their shirts off in the warmer weather.

Have a great day and I will talk with you again soon.  Be well!
