Morning! It’s been a hell of a morning. I’ve been going since a little after 7:30a and had a break about 15 minutes ago, it was fast, I had to come back to get into a meeting. Has 2 Little Debbie Turtle Brownies and a soda as a pick me up. Damn those things are really good, if you see them in the store and like Carmel, Brownies & Nuts grab them and enjoy!
I did sit on the couch for a couple minutes and Rudy sensed I was stressed or something like that. He came over and climbed on top of the couch and then started to wash my hair with his tongue. It felt so good all of those little barbs on his tongue were out and raking across my scalp. He wasn’t as vigorous as Momma used to be but damn I haven’t had that done in forever. It gives me goose bumps and feels really good. I just had a shower last night and there’s nothing on my scalp or in what little hair I decided to keep. Otherwise I would have stopped him.
Amazon dropped the ball on part of my order and said it was running late and it would be here today. I am still waiting and expect that this afternoon it will appear. They also decided to send me an additional order of dental floss from my subscribe & save list. I got some last week and they are sending more today. It takes 4 months to go through the spool so I’ll be good for a while.
The best news is that the 3 pack of Zebra Green Disposable Fountain Pens all write, I was surprised. Apparently something about ordering the sample pack of multiple colors is the issue. Both greens for me didn’t work. I used one of them last night, turns out it wasn’t bright enough green for me, but the ink won’t go to waste. I just might not use it as fast.
For kicks yesterday after lunch I went and reset the GFCI in my bathroom, the replacement outlet arrived with my Amazon delivery. The original outlet is still going strong and the GFCI has yet to trip. Very strange to me. I know those things are a pain. The one in the garage I had to replace because all of the power was cut off and the old GFCI outlet was shot to the point where it wouldn’t take a reset. I hope the original outlet holds. Kind of made me wonder if I got a mouse that got zapped but I have been mouse free for a long time. Made me think back to the days of when the lights in the dining room would randomly turn on and off, they are on a touch dimmer switch. I’ll bet there were some mice cooked over that one. I’m just lucky those little bastards didn’t start a fire. I still wonder on occasion if there is any damage that they did that will come back to haunt me later but I suppose time will tell.
I didn’t get a whole lot of time to write yesterday, what time I had went by really fast. I gave the cats some attention and skimmed social media then got my shower. Speaking of social media, I saw a couple photos from Charlie Puth, looks like he got a tattoo on his neck. Looks like a bunch of small birds. I pray it’s just a PR stunt and not true. However, it’s his body. My brain wanted to keep going but my body said no way. Started watching something on YouTube and climbed in bed. Before long I turned it off and called it a night. Slept pretty good, some crazy dream. Rudy got on top of me for a few hours and slept. I’d wake up and turn, I make sure that he turns with me and readjusts. It’s kind of interesting but also a bit of a pain. Turns out he wanted to sleep in this morning and for a change I woke him up. That’s a change.
Time to grab some lunch. I’ve got a meeting after that and then the rest of the day is wide open. I plan to spend the remainder of the day upstairs and work on my writing, while keeping an eye out for any work that may need attention. I like to coast when I can, no one knows and it can be peaceful but more often than not work interrupts and I have to readjust. Might try to squeeze in a nap but that sugar from the brownies and the caffeine from the soda have kicked in.
