We finally got some rain. It was light to heavy and everything seems to be draining beautifully. I don’t see obvious signs of water in the basement on the affected areas. I need to put my hand on them and get a good feel but I just haven’t gotten the courage yet. From all outward appearances I’d say my water issue is fixed, it was the the gutter as I call it but the proper name is downspout.
I got leaf guards to insert in the gutters, they came in a pack of 4. I’ve got more than 4 gutters. So looks like I will need to order more. I was mainly interested in protecting the two back gutters. I have also looked and found a leaf blower attachment for gutter cleaning. My way was a fine quick and dirty but long term the leaf blower sounds like an easier and better solution. Just takes a little cash to get the item and some manual labor which I am so allergic to.
My idea of living isn’t doing maintenance work, life is busy enough and that is just another aggravation to add to the list. However, I learned my lesson from this that it’s necessary when you own a home. You can bet I will make sure the gutters are clean.
It’s been a little bit of a busy morning here. I got caught up about an hour ago and I am just killing a few minutes before it’s time for lunch. I’ve got active shooter training this afternoon. Kind of sad that this exists. However, this training can save lives.
Last night sucked. I got in bed and couldn’t sleep. Then Gator was sick and threw up on the clean bedding. She felt better but I sure didn’t. I had to get up and turn the TV back on after cleaning up the mess. Took a little bit but I was out by midnight and I sure didn’t want to get up this morning. However, I pushed and things feel fine right now. I’ll bet you I won’t have the same problem tonight, with sleep or a sick Gator.
