Sexy Criminal

Morning … X (formerly Twitter) is all a buzz over the guy who has been charged with the murder of the United Health Care CEO.  I agree he is good looking and I had some impure thoughts about him, like a lot of people have. 

Monday is history and honestly it wasn’t a bad day for me.  Very calm.  This is the last week of calm before the storm comes rolling in next week when I am back on-call.  It’s my last time for the year and I am sure I will go out with a bang.  Although, I wouldn’t be terribly disappointed if it was a quiet week. 

The weather forecast here has changed a bit and were only supposed to have flurries tomorrow but it will still be cold.  I still have plans to get out in it and make my final appearance at the office for the year.  Speaking of work I put in to take the 2nd and 3 of January off so I should have two back to back weeks of two day work weeks.  Now that’s something I could get used to.  Work two days but get paid for 5.  While I was at it I went ahead and scheduled time off for my doctors visit in February.  That should hold me on time off for a while. 

I have had this Amazon box in the living room with some craft paper in it that they use for packing material.  The cats were attracted to it and played in it for a while.  It’s sat dormant for a little bit to the point where I was going to throw it out.  Last night Rudy curled up inside of it and took a nap.  Guess I will be keeping it a while longer.  I threw a ball in that vibrates and rolls around when we were playing over the weekend and they were both curious to see what was making all the noise but once they figured it out they lost interest.  The box came because I ordered a calendar.  The toy I threw in I had to pay for.  Yet again cementing the fact that if you pay for it they may or may not play with it.  However, if it’s something you get for free they will for sure play with it. 

That takes me back to my first cat and bringing him home straws from restaurants.  He loved those and would play with them for hours.  Same is true for Q-Tips but if you paid for a toy and brought it home he would just ignore it. 

Got two meetings on the docket today.  One is in a couple hours and the other is after lunch.  I am caught up on work at the moment and unless something comes rolling in it’s going to be kind of a long day. 

Managed to get to sleep in record time last night.  I was feeling quite lazy by bed time.  I shaved and brushed my teeth but skipped the shower.  I’ll get that tomorrow morning when I head in.  It was a decent nights sleep despite waking up once because I was hot.  Had some strange dreams but it was okay as a nights sleep goes.  Here’s hoping that I can repeat that tonight.  The alarm clock woke us all up this morning.  That is quite abnormal but I set it just in case my body or my feline alarms don’t work.  It will probably go off again tomorrow morning since I will be getting up an hour earlier just to make the hike in to the office.  I’m not crazy about the idea of waking up early or freezing a bit in the process of getting there.  However, I will feel good once I actually make it in.

Back to it

Another Monday and back to the so called “fun”.  I was able to take care of everything on my calendar before I left for lunch.  I took a little bit of an extended lunch break but had my phone near by just in case.  It’s kind of a slow day.  Had one boring meeting, which I could have done without. 

Nothing profound to report from the weekend.  I took Saturday as a rot day and stayed home.  I was planning on going out for Mexican food but opted to just stay home and watch TV, nap and generally be lazy.  The cats sure enjoyed the extra attention they got.

Yesterday I got back to my normal routine and went out for Mexican food.  I didn’t go to the restaurant I wanted to, I went to a place nearby.  I still got some great food and was able to get home quicker and spend more time with the cats and enjoy a relaxing evening. 

I got more frozen food to eat so I shouldn’t starve this week, which is a good thing.  I managed to stay away from the junk food and kind of feel like I didn’t buy much from the grocery store.  However, I spent a fair amount of money typical of what a normal grocery run would cost. 

We have a couple days of warmer weather and of course on Wednesday is when we go back to the freezer.  There is a chance of rain and/or snow.  That might make the commute interesting.  I am already finding ways to talk myself out of going but as difficult as it is I want to make it.  I know I will feel good about myself if I actually make it in.  For now the plan is to go.

I’m fighting with my eyes from itching.  Watched a couple YouTube videos on Blepharitis and found some interesting wipes that might help me.  I have yet to place any order but it’s high on my to do list. 

Rudy continues to pour on the attention and beg for food when I eat.  Saturday night he jumped up on the table.  He quickly was removed and placed back on the floor.  I told him that cats aren’t permitted on the table.  I know that’s not the first time he’s been up there but it’s the first time it happened that I actually witnessed and while I was eating.  I make sure that he gets all of the attention he wants and I give in to his requests for playtime.  Mora gets her fair share of attention and playtime as well.  They both get treats and brushings.  I don’t possibly know what else I could do for them as they take up a considerable amount of my time.  Seems like they are both constantly wanting more. 

I got to reboot the computer and then head up for the day.  There is nothing going on at work but I will be watching from my phone and will spring in to action if needed.  Here’s hoping for a nice evening.

Finally Friday

Welcome!  I woke up to find that my Cologuard results are back.  They show as negative.  I am so thrilled to see that and can exhale now.  I was fully prepared to wait longer but am glad that I don’t have to. 

Last night in browsing social media I saw a post that indicated another gay young porn star has passed away.  There were no details and I can’t find anything through a google search.  The guys name is Keagan Case.  He worked for Helix Studios and if the data that I saw on him is correct he was 24.  He did some good work that I enjoyed.  For closure and just to be nosy I’d like to know what happened but there are many times that someone passes where the details are never published.  That could very well be the case.  Three days had passed since this came across my social media feed.   

I know that most people probably just think of them as porn stars and watch their content and move on.  I appreciate the fact that they are humans and it takes a lot of courage to put on a show in front of the camera for the world at large to see.  Plus their work lives forever.  There is no erasing or hiding it.  That can impact their futures as well as future employment.  It’s a decision that one can’t make lightly.  Being individuals they have lives that are separate and often way different than what they portray in front of a camera, much like a regular actor/movie star. 

Helix Studios has been embroiled in a lot of turmoil and chaos over the years.  Back in the day they had some of the most attractive twinks, which are all grown now.  Blake Mitchell, Joey Mills and Travis Stevens are models that started with Helix.  Joey is still doing studios work but all of them have Only Fans accounts.  It’s interesting to see how far they have come and to have watched them grow up before my eyes. 

Switching gears back to my hum drum life, not a whole lot is new here.  I got the trash out and cooked a Tombstone Pizza last night.  The label said that it was bursting with flavor but it hardly tasted like the Tombstone that I grew up on and have come to love & enjoy.  I normally devoured the entire pizza in one sitting but I only ate half of it last night.  I’ve got the other half for lunch or supper.  It will be gone today for sure.  I was kind of caught off guard that I didn’t have as many choices of frozen items that I thought I did.  I’ll remedy that with my trip to the grocery store on Sunday. 

Had a great night with the cats.  Rudy has become super clingy he will sit on my lap and fall asleep as I watch TV.  He loves to be next to me.  He’s started bugging me at every meal like he wants food.  I think it might be more about attention.  I brushed him and his sister last night.  I have worries and concerns about both of them checking out way sooner than I want them to.  Right now I am just enjoying them for all they are worth and am thankful and appreciative that I get the pleasure of having them in my life. 

No real plans for the weekend, probably loaf around tomorrow and head out for some Mexican food and get the mail.  However, who knows what will pop in my mind between now and Saturday that could alter those plans. 

If you like Taye Diggs, Anthony Anderson, Chris Jones, Tyler Posey, Bruno Tonioli or James Van Der Beek they will all be appearing on Fox on Monday night in The Full Monty.  They will all be naked but who knows what the network will actually permit to be seen.  I’ve got my DVR set.  James and Tyler are the only two that are of interest to me.

What a day

Last night I mustered up the courage to make a call to my former co-worker.  I wasn’t the only person to reach out to him.  We had a nice long conversation and he shed a few tears.  I felt better having talked to him.  He did share the reason why he’s no longer working with us and it wasn’t his choice.  I do feel bad for him but he indicated that he is financially sound, which is a good thing.  Financial experts tell you to have a rainy day fund and plan to have enough to subsist for 3 months or longer.  Not everyone has the extra money available to save.  Money does solve a lot of problems but it seems that not everyone earns enough and even if you do, you always want more or at least I do.

I finished up Thanksgiving leftovers last night.  Rudy begged me for some Turkey & Ham but despite his repeated attempts he never got a morsel of it.  I did feel bad about it but told him I didn’t want to start a habit.  I could just see him saying something like, I’ll never ask again please just this once.  Just like a kid then the next time something smells good he will ask again.  I know how the game is played, I’ve played it myself. 

I made sure to watch some porn and have some fun before I went to bed.  I felt pretty good but despite my best efforts I wound up waking up again at 3a.  I stayed in bed and flipped the TV on.  It wasn’t long before Rudy came to lay on top of me.  That along with about an hours worth of TV helped to get me back to sleep.  I sure do love that cat.  They are both very much in tune with me, couldn’t ask for better animals. 

On a different note I’ve been holding this in for a bit.  Time to let it out.  Social Media as well as the media in general has closely followed Shawn Mendes and his sexuality.  There is a possibility that he is gay or bi.  I suspect that if your reading this that your gay, bi or queer.  It can be difficult to come to terms with ones own sexuality.  Some of us have more trouble with this than others.  I only know of my own personal struggle.  Sexual awakening is one thing then for me to find out that I was attracted to the same sex it was tough.  Everyone eventually figures out what their sexual orientation is.  Shawn is quite handsome and a lot of guys would love to hear the news that he is gay.  However, star or not he is entitled to privacy and if he chooses to share his sexuality with the rest of the world only then will we truly know.  Until that time it’s all speculation. 

In that same light I am attracted to Charlie Puth not only his music but him as a person.  I know that Charlie and Shawn spent some time together and there was a lot of speculation that something sexual happened between the two of them.  Only they know the truth.  However, Charlie was married recently to a woman that he has known for a while that was going to be his wife.  That doesn’t dampen my attraction to him.  However, I have never been delusional to think that the stars and moon would align that we would meet and then hop in bed.  If your like me you have many guys that you have crushes on but your grounded enough to know fantasy from reality. 

Well I feel a little better now.  Time to get the trash out and feel the cold if only for a couple minutes.  That will certainly make me appreciate my warm home.  On to the next issue figuring out what I am going to eat for supper tonight.  I’m glad that the day is winding down because it has just been one thing after another today.  I’m hopeful that tomorrow will be calm.

Best Effort

I made my best effort to get to the office this morning but I woke up at 3a and didn’t fall back asleep until 5a.  I really wanted to go in but I subscribe to the theory “everything happens for a reason”.  Feeling quite groggy when I got up I really wanted to just take the day off.  However, I had planed work and am wanting to get that taken care of.  I forged forward and got started.  Then came the barrage of interruptions that seemingly wouldn’t end.  After a couple hours of that I was cooked.  Thing had calmed and I took advantage of it by heading up and laying down to watch some TV and cuddle with the cats. 

I had a meeting to come back down an hour later for a meeting and I got in most of the break before the interruptions started up again.  Meeting took place and my boss said that he was going to call me after our meeting but thus far that hasn’t happened.  I know it will happen when I take the first bite of my sandwich and therefore I am just biding time before I head up. 

I plan to try to knock out the remainder of the work that I tried to accomplish this morning after lunch, here’s hoping that there are no interruptions and I can get through it.  Hope is about all I have, I am pretty sure I will get bothered just the nature of the beast. 

I suspect my sleep interruption stemmed from losing a co-worker that I mentioned yesterday.  I struggled with calling to say goodbye and letting him know that I really enjoyed working with him.  However, I opted to just stay silent.  That doesn’t mean I can’t reach out tonight but honestly I am confused and don’t know what kind of reaction/reception I will get.  We worked together very well and close for 10 years and now he’s just gone.  That’s not something that happens often but it is part of life.  Here today, gone tomorrow.  Plus it’s the holiday season and the gift he used to send, it just is bad timing for all of it. 

It is warmer today and I wanted to experience that before we head back into the freezer but looks like I missed out.  I will feel the freeze when I lug the trash out tomorrow afternoon.  Better luck next week on getting to office. 

Now on to climbing the stairs and eating a sandwich, spending time with cats and getting them some food.  I am sure they are eagerly awaiting my arrival.  Hope that all is well in your world.  Take care!

 

Monday afternoon & Tuesday thus far

With the number of crazy drivers, I’m surprised we don’t have more handicapped parking spaces here.  That’s a line that comedian George Wallace uses.  There is a lot of truth in it. 

I stepped out around 11ish to drop off my Cologuard test at the UPS store.  Of course, all of the good parking spots were taken and I had to park in left field and walk a bit.  It’s good for me and I need the exercise.  Walked right in and got helped right away.  Saw a hot guy who works there, wearing grey sweats and he had a boner.  That’s something you don’t see every day. 

Now begins what I believe is the two-to-four-week countdown as I wait for the results to come in.  The package won’t be delivered until tomorrow.  Here’s hoping for good negative results.  Fingers, Toes, and Eyes crossed. :)

For the fun part where I returned to my vehicle and tried to back out so that I could go home.  Damn if every time I turned around there wasn’t someone flying in the parking lot.  I just sat on the brakes until eventually I got a clear shot and then I took it.  Zoomed back home and the cats greeted me like it was time for food.  I just set lunch out for them before I left.  No way am I going to set out more food. 

Fixed myself some lunch.  Ham & Turkey sandwich with a little lite mayo and a slice of cheese on Rye Bread.  Rudy stood on his hind legs and begged for me to give some to him as I was fixing it.  There is no doubt that his nose works overtime.  It’s also why I say that one of their previous owners had to feed them human food.  Hey I’d like to give in and give them a treat once and a while but you give them a little bit and they will always be asking and expecting it.  It’s a bad habit and I much prefer they eat the food I bought for them and let me eat my food.  I don’t have good stuff that often and when I do I want to enjoy it. 

Watched some YouTube and watched the snow fall.  We got more than was anticipated but it still doesn’t really amount to anything but it’s sloppy enough to create a mess with traffic and the occasional slip & fall.  Looking forward to the warm up on Wednesday even though it’s only a one-day event and then were back in the freezer. 

After a while I got sleepy and lazy so I went to take a nap.  It only lasted 30 minutes but Mora was next to me and I had my arm wrapped around her.  Rudy was in between my legs all curled up.  What a great way to spend time.  If only I didn’t have my phone pestering me. 

That break that I was hoping to take earlier this morning lasted like 5 minutes and then I was right back down here because something came in and next thing, I know an hour had passed.  It was one thing after another. 

Stouffers Spaghetti and a little bit of chocolate cake was my supper. A few hours later I wrangled both cats and brushed them and trimmed their claws. Neither of them liked the claw trimming part but they sure love the brushing. Just a lazy night watching TV on the couch as Rudy snuggled up to me.

Got ready for today, played with the cats and then time for a shave and shower. It seemed to take forever for my sleeping meds to kick in but by 11p I was out and had a pretty good nights sleep. Woke up a couple times from dreams but was able to fall right back to sleep. Rudy made his biscuits at 6:30a I told him last night twice that I was getting up at 7a. He tends to go by the light going on in the living room. Perhaps I need to adjust the timer. I stayed in bed as long as he would let me which was about 10 minutes and then I had to get up. The only good thing about this was that I had some extra cuddle time for Mora to get in a good bed rub and sit in my lap.

Got some surprising news this morning a long-time colleague that I worked with since the day I started this job is no longer working with us. It’s really sad, he went out of his way each year to send a gift to each of us and it was something that a lot of us looked forward to. I honestly don’t care about the gift I am more interested if he is okay. Thinking of phoning him a bit later in the day just to say that it was great to work with him and I hope things are okay. Yeah, I want to know what happened but I’m not going to be rude and ask like most people do. If he volunteers information that is another thing. His team got a new boss and she is a complete bitch. She micro-manages every little thing and is responsible for more than one person leaving or being asked to leave. While I don’t know this particular former co-worker’s situation it wouldn’t surprise me if she had something to do with him leaving. I know that were going to lose a lot of good people because of her and until she is gone the bleeding won’t stop for that team. She is the kind of person who would throw anyone family, friend or stranger under a bus just to save her own ass. She’s a real piece of work and I tread lightly around her. I’ve actually managed to show her what kind of a person I am and how hard I work so I’d like to think I am on her good side but I take that with a grain of salt.

It's a very busy Tuesday all of a sudden. Tomorrow looks to be a calmer day and I do hope that is the case. I still plan on going in to the office, despite not really wanting to because of getting up super early and driving in and home. It’s like a huge time suck and a waste of money but I do need to be seen and let people know that I am still among the living and not just off in cyberspace.

Lazy Monday

Morning … Back to reality aka the normal daily routine.  I got an early morning wake up call from Rudy at 6a but managed to roll over and go back to sleep for a bit.  He came back closer to my normal wake up time of 7a.  He tends to go more by the time the timer kicks the light on in the living room rather than the actual clock.  He is always so excited for morning.  He is every bit as sweet and cute as I am describing.  I am lucky to have him in my life and so thankful for him and his sister.  It is truly a well made match, despite the cold feet I had in the beginning which will be two years ago next month. 

As my post from yesterday mentions I had some trouble getting away to get to supper.  However, I made it despite it being later than I wanted.  I encountered deer on the drive to but there were no close calls and for that I am thankful. 

Red Lobster was packed at least to look at the parking lot but I think most of it was staff.  Because when I got inside the place was mostly a ghost town, not many customers at all.  There was an all female party that entered before me consisting of about 5 people.  I figured there for sure would be a wait but nope I got right in.  The lights were so damn low in the place I could barely read the menu.  I looked for my favorite of Crab Alfredo knowing full well that it wouldn’t be on the menu and it wasn’t.  I stuck with my trusty Flounder Dinner with Mashed Potatoes and Broccoli.  The food was out really fast and it was super hot.  Red Lobster re-did their tartar sauce and it’s got some dill in it now.  I am not a fan of the new stuff.  Much preferred the old stuff that most people disliked.  This was my first time finishing the entire meal in one sitting.  Normally I eat a little bit, feel full and get a box and wind up taking most of it home for a second go round the next day. It did take a few minutes to get waited on but once that happened my waitress was super attentive and provided great service.  She had a couple tables and tended to check on all of us at the same time.  I got that comfort feeling while I was there and really enjoyed this meal.  The music playing was all over the place from holiday tunes, way old music to some new stuff.  I heard Charlie Puth join in a song with a female singer in a song that I hadn’t heard before.

The drive home was via a different route.  I had some slight vision issues but some headlights were so damn bright and other areas were just super dark.  I got to see some holiday lights and thankfully had no flashing lights behind me.  Made it back about thirty minutes before treat time for the cats.  I just passed out food and treats at the same time.  That always confuses them.  They don’t know what to eat first. 

Turned the heat up by a degree and used the space heater for the living room.  I had an idea of what I wanted to do for the rest of the evening but wound up just sitting and watching TV.  Enjoying cuddling with both cats.  They both just talked me out of what I really wanted to do but I was having a good time.  I tend to think along the lines of not having both of them some day and wanting to spend as much time with them as possible.  Especially since I have had so many cats pass and I still miss them.  Next week will mark the two year passing of my sweet Gator.  Between that and the Christmas holiday I feel so alone and sad.  I miss my late spouse and kind of wish that he could see me now. 

The evening passed quickly as most Sunday evenings do and sooner rather than later it was time for bed.  Rudy was sleeping well for a couple hours and when I got up to start brushing my teeth he just knew that play time would be around the corner.  He started bugging me and talking to me.  I got to finish brushing and then went straight to playing with him.  He had fun and I shared the playtime with Mora.  They both look forward to that bit of energy and excitement before I go to bed.  I passed out some cat nip when we were done.  Rudy managed to settle down but Mora was all fired up for a bit. 

I sat in my room watching more TV and waiting for my extra strength dose of sleeping meds to kick in.  Finally around 11p I climbed in bed, not a cat in sight.  I got to relax and enjoy my own bed for a little bit before Rudy came to join me.  It wasn’t long and I turned the TV off, rolled over in the opposite direction and off to dream land I went.  Had a couple of strange dreams last night and woke up for a short bit but managed to quickly get back to sleep. 

The tasks that I had planned to knock out this morning I am opting to save for when I am in the office in a couple days hopefully things will cooperate and I can occupy my time and get the task done.  I don’t have a whole lot going on Wednesday.  I am opting to coast today.  I’ve done what I had to and am on standby for anything else that comes in but it won’t be long and I will be headed up for a bit.  I know the moment I get comfy and relax my phone will see that and the emails will come in but yet I am still going to do it. 

I see a large work volume pending for the person who is on-call today, which thankfully is not me and is my mistake making co-worker.  I almost forgot that on my trip last night I was gone for about 15 minutes when my phone chirped from work.  I peeked at it and dealt with it when I got back home.  I was like you had all damn day to bother me and the moment I step out is when it happens.  Thankfully it wasn’t anything that was super urgent.  I am once again thankful that my week of on-call is done.  One more week of that in two weeks and then I am done for the year.  Sadly it will all start over again next year and I never look forward to it.  I count the total number of weeks, which averages out to be 18 or 19 weeks and just begin counting down.  I don’t get terribly excited about it until closer to the summer and that’s when time seems to start to just fly. 

Well enough yapping for now.  Going to head up and check on the cats and see what I can find on YouTube.  Perhaps court is in session.  I love watching that because you never know when an interesting moment will happen.  People never fail to surprise and astound by acting like a fool. 

Were getting a bit more snow today but it won’t be a whole lot.  Glad I can enjoy it by watching from inside as it falls while I stay warm.  Hope that you are staying warm and well.  Take care!

Sunday

I’ve managed to keep to my routine and have everything I need to completed.  The parking lot at the place I stopped for breakfast this morning was very icy and no one had done anything to it.  They have a lot of older people that flock to this place.  Hopefully, no one was injured.  I had a close call as I was getting back into my vehicle.  The roads are perfectly clear, just a matter of keeping an eye out for ice. 

I am currently sitting with Rudy on my lap as I type away.  He’s sleepy.  His sister just woke up and she wants attention.  I am ready to leave to grab some dinner out but these two are kind of holding me hostage.  No worries I can break free anytime I want, it just won’t go over that well with them. 

It was a low 27 degrees this morning and I was thankful for heated seats as well as a working heater.  I know it’s warmed up a little bit but we haven’t seen any sun today so I know I won’t be stepping out into tropical weather.  I’d like to get going and get home before dark but don’t know that is going to happen.  I could encounter some deer and prefer to travel in daylight when it’s much easier to see them.  Perhaps I will take an alternate route out of an abundance of caution. 

There’s no good porn available today.  Last night after a shower, I watched Drake Von get topped by Joey Mills.  That was hot, especially because there roles were reversed.  This was advertised as Drakes first bottom scene but I am pretty sure I have something in my archives that says different.  I watched a bit of Aiden Ward top Jake Matthews.  That was all it took and the show was over.  Then I went to YouTube content and managed to fall asleep in my chair.  Woke up, climbed in bed and it wasn’t long before I was in dreamland.  Hoping to repeat those activities tonight of course watching different content. 

I know that tomorrow is going to suck just going back to work.  However, as per usual I don’t have much going on a Monday.  I know of some tasks that I need to take care of so I will be busy for as long as I want to be or until I knock those tasks out.  Since I’ll be trapped down here pretty much all day tomorrow I am a bit eager to get back out. 

I’ve got my Cologuard kit and will have the fun task of filling it and then getting that shipped out.  Thankfully there is a UPS store around the corner.  I hope to get this knocked out this week but of course I am stressing about it and all worried about the results, just because.  That’s how I was the last time and I actually delayed sending it in.  Since I know after a while they start to pester you I want to get this shipped back asap, preferably the same day the sample drops.  Honestly I have no real reason to worry but that is one of the things I do best, until I hear otherwise.
