So it begins

Morning!

The heat wave is starting today and more rain is coming too.  I am not excited about either of them but glad that I am indoors with the cats!

Late yesterday afternoon I got the approval email for my week of vacation, which I fully anticipated would arrive.  I’m glad that is done.

Had something new for supper last night.  Chicken Fajita Nachos.  They are premade by El Paso and I found them in the frozen food isle by chance.  I put 7 on a plate then toss them in the microwave for 1 minutes and 30 seconds and presto.  I had some Sour Cream on hand and it pair up nicely.  The little bites were seasoned with Fajita seasoning and they were surprisingly good.  I’ve got a whole bag of them and they are more made as a quick snack rather than a meal but hey I improvised.

I also tried Halo Top last night.  It’s a ice cream with less calories and they have it premixed with other stuff.  I got Chocolate Cherry.  I can’t tell from the packaging if this is really ice cream but hey it tasted really well.  Expensive experiment but I’m glad I made the purchase.

Nothing really good on last night.  I stuck with Good Times on Prime and watched several episodes.  Summer TV hiatus sucks but I will survive it’s not the worst thing in the world.

Cats were well behaved yesterday.  I tried a food experiment on them and got beef.  Rudy turned his nose up at it.  They eat it mixed in other things like Beef and Liver as well as Beef and Chicken and it goes over fine.  My original cat seemed to be allergic to Beef anytime he would eat it he would get sick, so I stopped feeding it to him.  Rudy got a second can of food which was Chicken and he turned his nose up at that as well.  As if I was going to start a buffet line.  He knew that wouldn’t happen but he still turned on his salesman’s charm and begged.  He wound up eating dry food.  I can be stubborn as well if I really want to be, it’s in my blood.

The police scanner yesterday was filled with a couple of chases that spiced up the afternoon and evening.  The usual calls of traffic stops, theft and false alarms as well as medical emergencies occupied the bulk of the calls.  It is quite interesting to hear what is going on in the world that you would otherwise not know about.  Most of which is never published in any format.

I’m caught up at work as per usual so I am headed up to relax until someone has something for me to do or it’s time for a meeting.  First meeting is in 3 hours and I’ll bet you someone will have something for me to do long before that 3 hours is up.

Hoping for a great day ahead for all of us.  Take care & thanks for stopping by.
