Rainy Monday

Morning!

I’ve been kicking around taking some time off work.  I’d really like to take next week but something deep inside tells me that isn’t the week to take off.  Nothing special is scheduled that I know of but I suppose everything happens for a reason.  Therefore, I booked time towards the end of the month, an entire week.  Now I’ve got time to try to fill that week up.  I don’t have approval on my time off but my boss has yet to deny a request, pretty much you ask for it, you get it.  I like simple!

Yesterday I headed out to get pizza.  The straight cute waiter I wanted to see wasn’t working.  Service was slow and a bit lack luster.  However there was a cute guy sitting at the bar and a couple other hotties walked in so not a total loss.  Pizza was okay but took a little longer than expected to get out.  Had a table near by of people talking in Spanish and they weren’t exactly quiet about it.  They had some complicated order.  One of the people there wanted Vegan Cheese but this place didn’t have that.  That is part of what caused the delay with my order.  I went up early I had a deadline to meet and well I was a half hour late but I got back home and the work got done.  I just wasn’t pleased about it.  I like to be on-time, that’s how I was raised. 

Finished up Euphoria Season 3 last night.  I’m kind of interested in the other 2 seasons so might go back and watch them.  Season 3 kept me entertained and on the edge of my seat.  Very enjoyable!

Went to unload the dishwasher last night and noticed that some things had a sticky residue on them.  Then I looked closer and noticed the soap packet never dissolved.  Which can only lead me to believe the float got stuck and there was no water.  I would have swore I heard water on Friday night when it was running but apparently my ears deceived me.  Had to stock it back up, run it again and this time I checked periodically to make sure there was in fact water flowing.  I think my water bottle got in the way and I moved it when I re-loaded. 

Took my sleeping pill a little later in the evening in the hopes that I would lessen the odds that I would have interrupted sleep.  I did in fact wake up but Mora jumped up in bed with me and we cuddled she helped me get back to sleep.  It was storming when I woke up and storming again when it was time to get out of bed.  It was nice to open the drapes for the back door and see that the gutter wasn’t overflowing.  Hopefully, there won’t be any water woes here but I am keeping an eye out. 

Got going and got my morning work that I was dreading done.  Took me about an hour of just full concentration.  Now I’ve got my report prepared, I’m waiting for data from one person to get it completed and another start of the month task is done too.  Boss is on-call this week but thus far my colleagues are all over anything that comes up, which I am fine with.  It’s not like I really want to work today but I will if something comes up. 

Internet surfing is done.  Just about time to transition back to upstairs and be with the cats, lazy and hanging out until or if something comes up.
