Middle of the road

Happy hump day!

Yesterday was a little busy in the afternoon.  Glad that I had lunch early so I could tend to everything that came up.  There always seems to be something that happens when I eat early and I am usually always glad that I did.  Kind of funny how that works out. 

I was damn tired yesterday and had to take two naps, which is unusual.  One usually does it but I was woken up with something urgent and wound up sitting on the phone with my colleague for an hour and a half. 

The new guy is asking for some work but I told him that I didn’t want to overwhelm him and once he felt comfortable to reach out and we would get started with what I had for him.  It’s been silence ever since.  I’m sure that my move could likely backfire but only time will tell.  I certainly hope not. 

Had an average evening last night.  Both cats clinging to me at different times getting their dose of attention.  They sure keep life interesting. 

Rudy woke me up super early this morning and then my bladder sounded off to tell me it was full.  I still told them both to take a hike and rolled over for a bit.  That didn’t last terribly long as I was awake again.  Saw Rudy sitting on top of me smiling as he does just waiting with anticipation for me to wake up.  Once he saw I was awake he got up and did his happy dance.  He knows right where to press to make it hurt.  I’m sure he’s not doing it on purpose but sometimes I wonder. 

The start of a new day and a hot one at that.  It’s one of those days where I’m glad I work indoors with AC.  Although it’s still gets humid in here at times.  It’s nice to enjoy the cool of the morning before the afternoon heat moves in.  The best part of all of this is that the sun is out.  I feel so much better seeing it and I know it makes the cats happy. 

I’m caught up as per usual and just waiting to see what the day brings.  Meanwhile I am going to hike upstairs, fire up my laptop, getting logged in and then go lay down and watch TV.  No doubt that I will drift off but Mora will be snuggled up in my arm and Rudy will be between my legs.  Then the phone will sound off and I will see if I need to get up or if I can make it wait.  Got a meeting before lunchtime and that one will probably be a long one.  I will probably set the cats lunch out before I get to that otherwise they will be bugging me the entire time.
