Seems strange to be in the office on a Wednesday. My brain is trying to tell me it’s Tuesday just because that’s my normal day in. Talked with my colleague who is leaving and gave her a card. Were supposed to get together in a few weeks but it’s best laid plans. I will be shocked if it actually happens. People always say they will keep in touch but rarely does it actually happen.
Had an okay night with the cats. Rudy was all about playing this morning. He nibbled on my fingers for a little bit. I hated to leave both of them but there is nothing like coming home to their welcome. Of course after a few kind words it’s all about where is the food.
It’s rained overnight and there is more rain pushing through the area today. It looked horrible coming in like the sky was just going to open up and pour. Thankfully before that happened I made it in the garage. My phone has been telling me all about the rain all morning long.
Been through the obligatory meeting and got a meeting with my boss that was scheduled for tomorrow pushed up to this morning. Nothing much came out of either meeting and for that I am thankful. They are just a waste of time. Found out that I will need to probably be on call on Friday next week, normally boss man takes the 4th of July holiday and we only get one day. However, he’s planning a get away so that kind of leaves me to cover things. No big deal so long as I get the 4th off and am free I’m okay with that. I don’t anticipate anything big will happen over the long holiday weekend anyway.
