Work From Home

What a week it’s been!  Today I woke up to icy roads and plenty of accidents.  Rather than take chances I opted to stay home.  A co-worker of mine told me everything was fine.  Not what the media said.  Plus he’s closer to the office than I am.  The bridge that I need to cross had been open and closed multiple times due to icing.  I had all of the accidents last year and don’t need anymore anytime soon.  Better safe than sorry.

Much to my surprise the kids [cats] have left me alone.  No one has bothered to check up on me.  I have been upstairs a few times.  Marv forgot I was home this morning and I startled him.  Then came his lecture and how he wanted to retain my arm so he could bathe me.  We had lunch together and that brought everyone out of the wood work.  Nothing like a little food to motivate them.

I have been downstairs pounding on the keyboard all day long.  Logged in early and got my phone forwarded to my home phone.  I’ve had a few calls.  People tell me that I sound different.  I said I am at home and talking to you on a speakerphone of course I sound different.  Then people ask if I was off.  Nope, if I was off I wouldn’t be taking calls at home.

Things are just insanely busy.  I broke for lunch and that hour went by super fast.  I returned to work and looked up at the clock, it was 3 something and I didn’t even know it.  I like days where time ticks like that.  I have some title changes and a relocation to process which will happen here shortly.  I have to wait until towards the end of the day for that stuff. What I don’t like about this week is that I will be saying goodbye to a co-worker.

Really could use a massage my neck and shoulder are bothering me.  I guess I will break out the vibrator massager later tonight.  Got some good TV to catch up on and after being in front of a computer all day, the last thing I want to do is sit down here for even longer than needed.  Different story on the weekends.  I enjoy being in front of the TV surrounded by cats.  They like it too, even if all they do is sleep.  Last night I muted the TV and just observed them and took in their angelic state.  Wake them up and it’s like poking a sleeping junk yard dog.  Just they don’t bite.

Well I guess I should get back to it.  I hope you are staying warm and taking care of yourself.  Hang in there one more day and the weekend is here.  Everyone will be happy about that except for Marv on Saturday morning when he’s at the vet.  Cheers for now.
