Shy Girl isn’t feeling well. She has been very picky on what she will eat over the weekend. She did at one point stop eating. This morning I cleaned up some tarry stool, which I can only assume came from her. I don’t know that to be a fact because well there are so many cats it’s hard to tell who did what and when. I did some research online and it talked about liver failure and blood in the stool. So if she appears the slightest bit off tonight I will be taking her to the vet. If she is truly that ill I don’t know that I can afford to get her to bounce back. I am not eager to part with her or any of them but the fact remains my money is very limited.
I got a call from the place that I was going to interview on Wednesday and they cancelled siting a change that occurred over the weekend. I was really surprised by this but okay, it is what it is. I still have a few irons in the fire and am eager for one of them to strike.
I got an e-mail that I thought was sure to be spam, but turns out it was from a long time owner of a former restaurant that closed a couple years ago. Me and my late partner used to visit there at least once a month if not more often. Well turns out they are starting back up. They thought my partner was my father so we always went with that, easier than explaining. I told this person that my father had passed and I was in the process of losing my job so I have no idea when I will be able to stop by but that I would make an effort. Life has just been one big bowl of suck for the last couple years.
The funny thing is I was thumbing through my computer yesterday and found the article from the paper that said they were going out of business. It was like Dejavu.
Well it will no doubt be a very long and boring day here. I am ready to go home, very worried about Shy Girl. I’m sure she will be there when I get home, I just hope she is better than when I left her.
The AC is back on as summer has returned to the area upper 70’s and 80’s for most of the week. The house gets hot so I programmed the thermostat last night to keep it at 75 and changed the air filter. Hopefully that will keep everyone happy. I pray the AC lasts yet another year.
