If you live in the US and wonder why there is no school, your bank (might be) closed and there is no mail it’s because it’s Columbus Day. Shame that not all businesses observe this day because I have to work. Perhaps your workplace observes the day and your one of the lucky ones who has the day off.
It’s been a little busy for a Monday morning this early but it’s okay I am ready for it. I hate being on-call but am hopeful that things won’t be terribly busy all week long and that the work load may be lighter today with it being a holiday and some places closed. However, I am not holding my breath.
Made it for pizza yesterday, the new deeper dish is just more expensive and there isn’t much difference that is noticeable to me other than the price. Bake time is the same. I was full after eating just one piece and got a box and brought the rest home. Dropped $50 which is a bit much for a pizza and a soda. However, I did get to see the cute waiter and he actually took my order. Wow he still looks fine as ever. The place was busy and they were setting up for a large party. Thankfully I was able to get in and out before that party showed up.
I was back home quicker than I thought I would be but late enough that I missed treat time. To make up for it I passed out food & treats at the same time. This way each cat got something to eat at the same time. I don’t know that Mora ever touched the can food but Rudy was eating it. I know he got some treats.
I got the laundry put away and we had time to sit and relax watching TV. I was able to cuddle with both cats. Mora let me brush her. I didn’t get a chance with Rudy because he was sleeping and I didn’t want to disturb him.
Magically both cats came alive when it was time for bed. I got to play with them and passed out cat nip. Then I shaved and showered. Finally time to watch a little TV and then it was off to dream land.
A little nippy in the house this morning we went from 78 to 73. I felt it the most because I didn’t have a thing on. Kind of wished I was a cat with a fur coat on. However, now that I am dressed it’s comfy. We will be getting our first freeze this week and temperatures look to be cooling off this week. There is a slight rebound predicted as we get closer to the weekend and first part of next week but only time will tell if that occurs.
