A Better Day

Good Morning and Happy Friday!

Yesterday was a little bit easier than Wednesday was.  However, I still felt some stress.  I’m caught up on everything at work as well as my personal browsing and porn surfing.  Had a nice time last night watching Grant Ducati get plowed by new comer Jay Stryker from Hung Fuckers.  Grant’s smile just makes me melt and it seems to be a reflex for him as he does it often.  Enjoyed a nice shower.  Slept decent despite an early morning wake up call from my bladder.  I was able to return to bed and drift back off with no issues and had no cats to bother me. 

Woke up at 6a to the weekly slamming of the cans aka the trash being picked up in the neighborhood.  The trucks are noisy and they love to slam the cans on the ground when they are done, so if your sleeping and your house isn’t soundproof your going to get woken up.  I imagine the rest of the neighborhood hates this as much as I do.  I got in some cuddle time with Rudy.  If it wasn’t for the trash being emptied I think that Rudy smacking my head with his tail would have eventually caused me to wake up.  You can’t tell me that cat doesn’t know what he is doing. 

I got up and emptied the bladder and then since I had a half hour I came back to bed.  Rudy joined me and we got in a little more cuddle time.  Eventually I called it quits and got up.  The three of us made our way to the kitchen and breakfast was served. 

I got some Vanilla Spice Cheerios something new.  I really thought I would like them based on the name.  However, that is not the case it tastes like what I envision cardboard would taste like if I was eating it.  To add insult to injury I bought “The Large Box” so I will be eating on this for a bit.  It can’t be gone soon enough for me.  To make up for that I warmed an Apple Fritter in the microwave and had that.  It was really good.  Had a banana to round things out. 

Moved on to getting my morning meds, getting dressed and looking at my electronic leash (aka mobile phone) to see what fresh hell today had in store.  Thankfully there wasn’t anything of concern.  Looked at old photos from years past taken today and remembered some happier times.  Then on to grab my water bottle and come down to the old computer. 

I’ve had an update that wanted to restart my machine to apply and I had been putting that off.  Not something I normally do.  Finally gave in this morning and rebooted to start fresh again.  It made me a little late to login but no one is really watching every minute of my day.

Began my work tasks and got a jump on compiling some data for a monthly report I do.  As per usual I am waiting on data from someone before I can publish things but getting ahead of the game will be of benefit to me, hence why I did it. 

Looking at the calendar I work all next week and then the week afterwards I only work Monday thru Wednesday.  When I come back the following Monday is when all of the interns will be starting so needless to say next week will be fucking bonkers.  I’ve done some prep work to help get ahead.  Next week should hopefully be easier since I won’t be on call. 

There are two reports that need to be finished up from this cluster on Wednesday.  One of which I was sent this morning and it looks perfect to me so I forwarded it on.  Hopefully, the other report will follow later today or early Monday morning and I can forward that on and be done with this BS. 

Thinking about the weekend I know that I want some BBQ this weekend for sure and know where I want to get it from.  Not sure if that will be a Saturday or Sunday thing.  I need to check on the vacuum cleaner but have been putting that off.  Last weekend after I did my vacuuming and came back upstairs for the day, Rudy had gotten a little too rowdy and knocked over both of the dry food dishes.  I used the vacuum to clean it up and it sounded more like a popcorn machine.  When I was done with the clean up I noticed one piece and tried to power on the vacuum to pick it up but it wouldn’t power on.  I just gave up and picked up the piece on my own and put the vacuum away.  I’m thinking it might have overheated and temporarily stopped, that’s happened before.  I can’t imagine sucking up dry cat food would break a vacuum but I suppose stranger things have happened.  Not a bad deal for the cats though they got fresh dry food after I had the mess cleaned up so maybe he was sending me a message just not being subtle about it. 

I’ve got 1 meeting today and hopefully it will be a nice day to round out what has otherwise been a quite crummy week.  Hope all is well in your world.  Have an awesome weekend!
