Morning hope all is well. I had a very strange dream last night it played like it was a musical, I don’t remember anything from the dream but it just felt like I was watching a musical.
It was cold this morning but it’s supposed to warm up this afternoon so I won’t need the jacket I brought with me on the ride home. I made it to the office. In years past on Administrative Professional’s Day what ever our gift was would be waiting for us on our desk. This year it’s still a big mystery as to what we are getting. I’m not the only person who came out of the wood work to make the special trip in. Apparently gifts attract people. It’s rather odd that we already have a message from Management saying that “the gift” is a small token of appreciation. Not sure if my office is the only one, I just wrote a colleague to try to get some additional details. As per usual he was no help because he isn’t in the office today. Hopefully the gift surfaces before I leave for the day if not then it’s questionable if I will actually get it or if someone will steal it from me.
I was supposed to have new monitors as well but they were never swapped out and I have the same old monitors. I’m okay with what I have and prefer not to change as they work fine. I don’t complain about equipment unless something is seriously wrong. I’ve got access to swap things out on my own if I need/want to. I just do my best to stay under the radar and keep my head down. Life is better that way.
Our garage is still undergoing construction work and parking was a complete nightmare. I parked next to someone and barely had room enough to squeeze out of my vehicle. I hate tight parking and am really anxious to leave.
The cats were all fired up this morning. Rudy heard me getting out of bed and came in to greet me. Meanwhile Mora just stayed on the floor. I greeted her and then worked on getting breakfast for all of us. Then I gulped mine down and headed for the shower.
Made it out the door early just like I wanted to and into the office with about 10 minutes to spare. It was all quiet here and kind of peaceful. I started working away and then ventured to visit a colleague. I was gone for about 45 minutes. Ever since then I hear people passing by my door periodically so I know I’m not the only person here today.
I am fresh out of work and sitting here killing time is the last thing I really wanted to do, hence why I don’t regularly come in. I can find other things to do at home and get to spend time with the cats. I’ve already spied on them and they are in my room. Mora is on the bed and watching the camera. Rudy is curled up at the foot of the bed faced away from the camera. I so look forward to seeing them. I know they will both be hungry.
The lawn people set off an alert on my camera so I know they are mowing. Kind of surprised since it poured yesterday afternoon. I hate when they cut my lawn and it’s wet, because they wind up missing some of it.
Had an enjoyable evening with the cats and watched TV. That’s kind of how I plan for this evening to go but I don’t know how awake I will be. Coming into the office and getting up an hour earlier than I am used to typically drains me and I am exhausted by the time I get home and manage to sit idle for a few minutes.
Looking forward to lunch I’ve got a Chicken Cesar Wrap from the grocery store and it looks delicious. I don’t have any chips to go with it but did bring along some yogurt and a cup of Jell-O. Had 1/2 of Country Fried Steak with mashed potatoes last night and I plan to enjoy the other 1/2 for supper tonight. Got one slice of German Chocolate Cake to gobble on if I feel like it. I bought two slices and the first one is long gone.
