Money

I found out this morning that I got a 4% raise which is the best raise I have had in the 4 years that I have worked here.  For the first time ever I’m not getting a bonus, but I was submitted.  However, I will be getting an Amazon gift card.  Gee, I’d rather just have no bonus.  They will tax me on the gift card. 

Saving the best part for last.  A promotion is on the horizon.  It might not happen anytime soon but I know it’s coming.  I would be a senior level and that would make me equal with the rest of my team.  Yes, that includes stupid.  However, it would probably take away my stipend for on-call but I will be getting another raise out of it.  Unless I would move into Management this will likely be the highest level that I will climb to.  There would still be room for future pay raises so it’s not as if I would be capped out.

I am a little bummed about not getting a bonus but back pay retroactive to June 1, that will be a bit of a bonus in and of it’s self.  I am eager to see what my check looks like tomorrow. 

Speaking of money, I got my new pair of jeans yesterday.  There nice but I just can believe they were $50.  It’s denim not cashmere.

Well lunch is about over with and there is plenty of work to do.  I’m still digging out of email and more keeps coming in.  I wish I had an off switch, that way I may actually get caught up.  What a novel idea.
