The end to another crazy week and Friday seemed to bring all of the crazy people to my desk. There were some obvious things that people didn’t need to say or ask, but people are who they are. It keeps things interesting for sure!
Saturday morning … I got woke up by Gator singing to me, she doesn’t give up for a long time. I fed the kids and spent a little time walking around the house and being with them. Played on my phone as well. I was killing time on purpose as I had a plan in mind. I figured grab breakfast, get my hair cut, grab the mail and come back and spruce up the new vehicle a bit. Nah, a bunch of people got in line at the haircut place and were on the list long before I ever tried to check in. I opted that my luck may change and decided to wait patiently in case there was an opening. It looked like there would be an opening but each and every time that happened more people would just show up. I did get in the chair 15 minutes early but after spending close to an hour and a half there, big deal.
There was a college kid that came in, he had to wait to get his name on the list and he was super cute. He also had a VPL, I could see his underwear and how it hugged his nice little ass so very well. He rattled off his phone number and I could have easily written it down and now wish I would have. I tried to remember his name but that didn’t work out so well for me. Ah well he was cute.
I checked on my Grinder while I was waiting and no word from the cute guy, but I did get a message from someone else. I went to engage in conversation and turns out they were looking for cyber chat sex, even though his profile said otherwise. I don’t get it, be honest it doesn’t matter to me what your looking for, we all have different tastes. However, if you say your interested in dating and I am interested in dating well then if I find you attractive I will reach out … then if I learn your only interested in a cyber hookup well it was a waste of both of our times because that is not what I am looking for.
I got my paperwork for the new car, called and got my on-line access all setup so that I can see when payments post and I can watch the balance go from large to small with a lot of time. I grabbed a nap and then worked on the vehicle for a bit. I got in some new Armor All Glossy Shine wipes and went over what I wanted to along with some leather wipes. I also took out the head rest for the 3 back seat passengers. I kept them in the vehicle in case I happen to get a car load of people but don’t expect that to happen. It really opens up the back and I have a full not a partial window to look out of, very nice.
Wanting to improve gas mileage I filled up the tank and headed down to the buffet. It was later in the day than I wanted but I got to go and had some really delicious food. I figured dinner would cost more than lunch but that was not the case. Then took my time and drove back. I got up to 28 mpg which was really awesome to see. As I figured the more I drive long distances the better the gas mileage will be. Even though the sales and service people both say new cars today don’t have a break in period, they do. I’ve proven it twice. It was a very good day!
Sunday … I woke up a bit late and went to IHOP for breakfast. That sucked away and hour and a half of my time, much more than I have to dedicate just to eating. It took forever to get my food, my waiter finally came to tell me and all he offered me was ketchup or hot sauce while I waited. I wonder was that supposed to make up for the delay? There was no tip given, he kept my glass full but I had to ask.
The grocery store wasn’t packed which is very good. I made it in an our in my usual quick manor and dropped a little bit of money. I bought a bag of suckers and took them back to the hair cut store to donate. The corporate office is stopping giving out suckers, the store had their last batch and when they are gone suckers officially stop. Suckers were always something to look forward to when I was a kid and I don’t see why anyone would want to stop that. A small bag set me back a whopping $3 but think of how much happiness that $3 bought and how many smiles it will broker as well as how happy so many kids will be. I mean it’s worth it. This despite the fact that I don’t like kids at all. We all start as children and grow from there why not do the right thing?
Back on point – after dropping off the suckers I came home. Got the groceries put away and cleaned the garage up. I have things rearranged so that I can now back in and open the lift gate w/o any problem. Backing in will be hard to adjust to but it’s nice to have options especially since the weather will be changing soon.
Then I went back out and got gas and paid for my first car wash. I was told I had automatic wipers but it was a lie. Came back home and backed in to the garage. The heat was sweltering and I am sure it dried off my new ride quickly. I like starting the week on a fresh step – clean car, full tank of gas. Backing in will let me leave a little easier in the morning. No doubt there will be plenty to do this week but at least Friday is payday. Something to look forward to and I will be able to make my first car payment way earlier than the due date, which will hopefully start my relationship out the right way with the new lienholder.
I got a nap in and now it’s time to get busy with cleaning the place up, taking out trash and figuring out what to eat for dinner. As well as my usual shower and shave. Then it’s just a matter of time for bed and waking up to start a new week. Ugh, Mondays!
